The Framed Heiress Strikes Back

Chapter 7

Chapter 7 Running Into the Summers Siblings

Percy was a young man with the polished look of a corporate professional-handsome, clean- cut, and clearly well-educated.

Davina said calmly, "Got it. Tell Sacha not to worry. Mrs. Grace still needs time to adjust. If I can, I'll swing by for a follow-up."

Percy nodded, but his eyes lingered on her a moment longer than expected.

He'd met all sorts of people over the years but still found it hard to believe that this girl possessed such advanced medical skills.

If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he would've thought it was all a scam.

If the government ever found out about her, Ms. Summer might just become a national

treasure.

After two years out of society, Davina didn't protest when Percy offered to take her shopping. And the first stop? A luxury boutique in a high-end mall.

"Ms. Davina, these are the newest arrivals this season," a salesgirl said warmly.

Davina picked up a bag and examined it when a familiar voice drifted over.

"Cassia, does this bag look good on me?"

Stella turned around, holding up a designer bag and asking for her brother's opinion.

Cassia crossed his arms with a grin. "Of course. My sister's adorable-what doesn't look good on you?"

Stella beamed.

The man standing next to him-nearly the mirror image of Cassia's-chuckled. "Stella,

Cassia's broke. Don't count on him for paying it."

"Oh, come on. Like you're rolling in cash," Cassia teased, raising a brow.

The salesgirls nearby whispered excitedly among themselves.

"Gosh, I'm so jealous of Ms. Summer. She's got two insanely handsome twin brothers who dote on her."

"You haven't heard the half of it. She's got two more-one's a CEO and the other's a top lawyer. Everyone knows the brothers are famously obsessed with their sister. Ugh, what do I have to do to be reborn into a family like that?"

The murmurs and envious glances only made Stella stand taller with pride.

She fluttered her lashes and leaned on her brother playfully. "Brothers, I really think this bag is perfect for me."

Cassia and Ashen both scratched their heads, clearly caught off guard with the request. "Maybe next month?" Cassia coaxed gently. "Or give it a little time?"

Stella's smile flipped into a frown. She was upset. "No, I want it now. Ugh, come on, just buy it for me, okay?"

Then a clear, cool voice interrupted the moment, "If that woman isn't going to buy the bag, I'd like to have it. Please hand it over."

The three of them turned, startled. Their expressions shifted instantly.

"Davina?" Stella's voice screeched across the boutique. "What are you doing here?"

She eyed Davina from head to toe. How could someone fresh out of prison be dressed so well?

Her skin was glowing, her cheeks rosy-she even looked healthier than Stella herself. The twins stared at her in disbelief.

Cassia asked in surprise, "Davina?"noveldrama

Ashen's voice was cold. "You've got some nerve showing your face. Lewis went to pick you up why didn't you come home? Where have you been running off to? And you blocked all of us what do you think we are to you?"

Davina smiled and asked. "Why shouldn't I be here?" She turned to the salesgirl and demanded, "I'll take that bag. I figured if she's been holding it that long without buying it, she's not really interested."

That salesgirl hesitated and turned to Stella. "Ms. Summer ... Are you still considering this one?"

Stella's eyes went wide. "You want it?" Then she burst into laughter. "Oh please, Davina, be serious. Do you even know where you are right now? I mean, come on. I know you haven't been to a luxury boutique your whole life, and this isn't some ten-dollar trinket from the clearance rack."

Her voice dropped low with a smug smirk. "Don't embarrass our family, will you?"
