Chapter 2333
"Did you just... kill him?!" The chauffeur was shocked.
Sally was absolutely ruthless! The man was already cooperating-did she have to kill him too?
"Or what? Keep him around and let him cause more trouble? Your boss would do the same if he were in my place." Sally snorted and glanced at Frank.
Frank smiled in wry amusement, but she was right-he would not show mercy either.
It was simple math-never spare anything that could hurt you, even if they pose next to no threat. One would only win by eliminating any potential threats!
Naturally, that man would never threaten his life, but not having a fly buzzing around was simply better. And being swift and decisive was always Frank's principle.
"Remember-never hesitate to kill when you find people like him," Frank said.
The chauffeur quickly nodded, and they soon arrived at the gas station called Daybreak.
Since this was not a highway, the gas station was pretty rundown. In fact, it would not be a far cry to call it
a convenience store with a dilapidated interior. Those who did not know would think that this place had nothing out of the ordinary!
"Anyone there? Need a refill here!" the chauffeur called out as Frank instructed, making sure to sound impatient.
"What's the emergency?! Someone had better be dying!" a middle-aged woman snapped as she rushed out, dressed so plainly no one would ever single her out from a crowd.
And she spoke roughly just like a fishwife, exclaiming, "Woah, a Rolls-Royce?!"
Her eyes lighting up and smiling like a sly businesswoman, she grinned. "Lead, I take it? I'll get it for you!" "Is this gas station even up to standard?" the chauffeur complained as he alighted and started to chat with the woman. "Don't keep the boss waiting!"
The woman did not get upset, pretending to just be another vulnerable victim afraid of violence as she giggled. "What are you saying? We have a license for operations! We're definitely up to standard! By the way, may I ask who your boss is?"
The chauffeur smirked. "Just do your job, and don't poke your nose where it doesn't belong! By the way, do you have any cigarettes?"
"Cigarettes? Wouldn't a man in a Rolls-Royce be smoking a cigar?"
"It's for me, damn it!"
"Wait, your boss is that nice? He actually lets you smoke in the car?"
While the middle-aged woman was busy chatting with Frank, Frank seized the moment to sneak into the shack slash convenience store.
They really had everything available there, and there was a garden and house behind as well. Frank wasted no time sneaking around, and sensing no breaths, he entered the house.
It was small but clean, and nothing out of the ordinary, though he noticed something strange about a giant clay water pot kept to the southwest!
In modern times, water lines were no issue even in the boonies, especially since it was winter when the water was not freezing up.
And since there was no livestock to be seen anywhere, that pot was unnecessary!
Frank lifted the lid on the pot and found a cube-shaped safe that was fifteen inches wide.noveldrama
He promptly picked it up and placed it on the ground.
He had never seen this type of safe before, but with the help of the spiritron vein, he quickly deciphered the mechanism.
If anyone forced it open, it would emit a signal while the contents would be destroyed!
However, Frank was far from his old self.
He placed his palm gently on the top of the safe, infusing spiritrons that quickly found the base structure, easily opening the safe.
Inside was a green book, and Frank opened it to find that it was a list of names.
Just as he skimmed through it, he heard an electronic feedback outside. He left the room, following the sound, and pried open some floor tiles, revealing a small radio hidden underneath!
He now understood-this place was not just a safehouse but also a relay station where missions were assigned. The superiors far away would transmit signals that detailed the mission, while the person here would dispatch someone on the list of names for said information!
With that in mind, Frank dashed outside in a flash, seizing the middle-aged woman by the neck and dragging her to the radio.
What do you think?
