Chapter 2587
Frank sighed in exasperation. "Having more isn't the issue—the issue is your opinion. It's clear following me around wasn't your plan."
Drea nodded, understanding what Frank was getting at. "You could have said so earlier, but I understand now. Don't worry, I won't think that you're exploiting a vulnerable woman!'
Frank ignored her and called Jada, telling her to turn back.
Soon, a taxi came bounding down the road.
However, Drea noticed something strange from her point of view-there was no driver!
"Is your friend a ghost? Such theatrics!"
Just as she finished, the taxi suddenly shot straight toward Drea.
She reacted instinctively, launching countless popsicles, but could not stop it!
But just before it struck her, Frank was suddenly in front of her and launched a punch at the taxi.
Crash!
The taxi shattered resoundingly, with spare parts and steel scraps shooting toward the skies before raining down all over the place.
That left Drea further puzzled. "Why would you kill your own friend?"
Frank was vicious, but Drea could see that he had principles. In fact, he was plenty patient with good people, so why do this?
Still, Frank smiled, while holding up his left hand. "You're getting the wrong idea here—that taxi isn't my friend's fault."
He clenched his palm, catching a man out of thin air and pulling him right in front of himself.
"Who is he...?" Drea could barely catch up to what was going on.
The man Frank left on the floor was seething, gritting his teeth as he struggled against Frank control.
Even so, he simply could not get up.
"The instant that taxi showed up, I
knew
just
wasn't the one I rode h
t attack right away
I was looking for him!"
Frank explained, and walked up to crouch down in front of the white-haired middle-aged man. "Go on, tell us where you're from!"
"I may have lost, but I have nothing to say!"
The white-haired man spat. "It's just a difference in skill. Kill me already!"
Drea laughed. "You're putting it as if we're the villains, when you attacked us first!"
The white-haired merely stayed silent and awaited his execution.
Frank then asked coolly, "Shouldn't you at least give your name before you die? Otherwise, it'd all be for nothing."
The white-haired man thought about it, and replied, "My name is Faust Chomsky. Now do it!"
"Faust Chomsky? Any relation to Zark Chomsky?"
Frank abruptly remembered Zark, whom he had met the other day at a bar-could he and Faust be related?
Faust frowned. "You know Zark?"
Frank nodded. "We met just once, but I think I can say we're friends."
"No, that's impossible!" Faust shook his head repeatedly. "My cousin would never befriend someone like you!"
Frank had an idea what was going on. "Let me guess. Someone told you to come after me, claiming that I'm a villain?"
Faust did not answer, so he
continued, "Then why don't you tell me what they described me to be? You're dying anyway-why not let it all out before you do? Don't you agree?"
"Color me surprised!" Faust snapped right then, "Not only do you rape and
pillage, but you're a masu who
likes being cursed too!"
Drea smiled in wry amusement. "Him? Rape and pillage? Look at me! I'm beautiful, but he still isn't interested!"
Faust glanced between Drea and Frank but could see that neither were lying.noveldrama
What was going on here?
What do you think?
