Just A Coward
Chapter 59 Just A Coward
“I don’t want to know. Please, it’s best I don’t know, for your safety and the safety of your children.” Alfredo said.
“Okay. I won’t.” she said.
“But what about your friend Raven? Do you think she would be alright?”
“I don’t know… but I believe that Raven is strong and can take care of herself. So I just have to believe that she would be alright.” Alfredo said.
Meanwhile, Ramos is pissed at the fact that Alfredo refused to reveal the location of Carlos family even after making a deal with Alfredo that he would release Raven.
“I can’t believe that he refused to reveal their location even when I promised to set you and your father free.” Ramos said.
“Alfredo isn’t someone who you think you can just tell him what to do and he would do it.
How does it feel to be beaten in your own game, Ramos?” Raven asked.
But she could see that he wasn’t happy about the statement she made.
Ramos glared at her, his eyes full of rage. “How dare you mock me, you little brat.” he spat.
“You think you’re so smart, but you’re just a fool. I will find the Carlos family and take what is mine, and there is nothing you can do to stop me.”
Raven could see that he was starting to lose control of his temper. She knew that this was a dangerous situation, but she wasn’t about to let him scare her.
“I think you were never been beaten at your own game and so it hurts your ego.” she said.
“I mean, you did a lot but he still stood his ground to protect Carlos family.”
Ramos got angry and slapped Raven’s face as she fell on the floor.
“How dare you insult me!” Ramos yelled, his voice laced with anger.
Raven was shocked by his sudden outburst, but she didn’t let it show. She stood up and glared at him, her eyes defiant.
“I’m not afraid of you, Ramos. I know you’re just a bully who takes pleasure in hurting others. But you won’t break me.” she said, her voice firm.
Ramos was taken aback by her words. He had never encountered someone who was so brave and unafraid of him.
He was used to people cowering in fear, but Raven was different.
“You’ve got guts Raven, but may I remind you that if you try anything funny, your father is going to be affected.
So I’ll be wise in my decision moving forward.” He said.
Raven felt a surge of fear run through her. She didn’t want anything to happen to her father, but she wasn’t going to back down.
“Don’t you dare touch my father,” she said, her voice shaking with anger. “If you do, I will make sure you pay for it.”
Ramos laughed, the sound cold and cruel. “You can’t do anything to me, Raven. You’re just a little girl.
“Don’t you dare call me that you asshole!” Raven yelled.
“Well, I can call you anything I want.” Ramos said.
“Get her out of my sight!”
Before Raven could say anything, the guards took her by the arms and pulled her out of the room. She struggled against them, but they were much stronger than her.
She was dragged out of the room and down the hallway. She was still struggling, but it was no use.
Finally, they came to a stop in front of another door. One of the guards unlocked it and pushed her inside.
She stumbled and fell to the floor, landing hard on her knees. She looked up and saw that she was in a cell, the door locked behind her.
“Let me out!
“Let me out!” she screamed, pounding on the door with her fists. “I won’t let you get away with this!”
But her screams went unanswered. She continued to pound on the door, but it didn’t budge.
She collapsed to the floor, her eyes filling with tears. She had never felt so helpless in her life.
What would happen to her now? And what would happen to her father?
Ramos entered the room.
“Hahaha…. You see, Raven nobody is gonna rescue you from me. You are mine now.” Ramos said.
“I mean just look at you. You trusted the Sanchez brothers and gave them the location of Carlos family, but when it was time for them to help you, they turned their backs on you and chose to allow you rot in my cell than give away Carlos family.”
“What do you want from them? I mean why are you so obssessed in getting your hands on the family? They obviously didn’t do anything to you…. so what’s the deal, Ramos?” Raven asked.
“You think I’m gonna tell you.” Ramos said.
“Then you must be way over your head, little bitch!”
“You know nothing about me, and you certainly don’t know the power that I wield,” Ramos said, his voice cold and menacing. “But I’ll give you a hint.”
Raven didn’t want to hear what he had to say, but she couldn’t look away. She had to know what he was planning.
“The Sanchez brothers are the only family left standing in my way. Once I get rid of them, I’ll be unstoppable.
“And you think that’s gonna be possible?” Raven asked.Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
“I mean, they are smarter and stronger than you. All you are good at is threatening people by using their loved ones against them.
You are just a coward, Ramos. Coward!”
That was the wrong thing to say. In a flash, Ramos was in front of her, his hand around her throat.
“I am not a coward,” he hissed, his eyes glowing red. “I am a powerful Mafia and you would do well to remember that.”
He tightened his grip on her throat, and Raven struggled to breathe. She tried to fight him off, but he was too strong.
“Please, let me go,” she gasped, her vision starting to go dark.
“I will let you go,” Ramos said, his voice low and dangerous. “But on one condition.”
“What is it?” Raven asked, her voice barely a whisper.
“You must give me what I want,” he said. “I need information about where Carlos family and where they are. If you give me that, I’ll let you and your father go.”
“I have no idea.” she said.
“Oh…. you do and you are gonna tell me or there would be consequences.” Ramos threatened.
“There is nothing more you would threatened me with except with hurting my father. I know that you are used to hurting my father to get me to do what you want, but I’ll tell you one thing, Ramos.
You are a son of a bitch who deserve to die alone and a pitiful death because that’s what you deserve.”
