CHAPTER 35
Traizle
Saturday came and they were now dolling me up in a room where Zarsuelo brought me.
I insisted on going with the makeup I could do, but he told me he would bring me to a place where I could be prettier than usual.
“You can now change into your dress, Ma’am Traizle.” The woman who did my makeup said.
I opened my eyes to see my reflection in the mirror.
“You guys can definitely make a change.” I complimented her.Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
I can’t deny that they are really professional. I look like a model in this makeup.
I should do this more often too. Makeup looks good on me.
“Like what Mr. Zarsuelo said, you are already pretty. Adding some design to your face makes you more gorgeous.” the woman replied.
“I hope so.” I just answered, standing up from my seat to change.
I am wearing black ruched-waist long chiffon, according to the saleslady from the dress and suit shop. Paired with a moon pendant short necklace and a long tassel diamond crystal ear stud drop dangle earrings, I am also wearing pointed-toe stilettos to match my dress. In short, I look like a rich girl.
I checked again myself before going outside.
“I am sure Mr. Zarsuelo will really love your appearance tonight, Ma’am Traizle.” the woman said.
“I hope so. Thank you for everything,” I said my gratitude and bowed a little. “I will go out now and wait for Zarsuelo.” I added and started to head out of the room.
I saw Zarsuelo looking at the back. He didn’t notice that I went out already.
“Zarsuelo, are you done already?” I called him.
He immediately jerked his head towards me. He flashed a big smile to me.
“You are gorgeous, I literally told them to not make you gorgeous tonight. A lot of men will look at you at the party.” he commented.
“You look good.” I complimented. “Just don’t bother spouting nonsense words.” I added.
“Really?” He asked back quickly. Delighted from my compliment.
He is more good than the last time he wore the suit. He looks like a real business man.
“Yeah, we should go.” I told him.
“Okay.” he answered before picking up his things.
We are using his car tonight with his driver.
“Anyway, is someone in your house tonight?” Zarsuelo asked after riding his car.
Still calling Zac a ‘someone’. I always tried to correct him, but to no avail.
“I asked Zac to stay for the night in our house,” I answered. “Why?” I asked back.
“Nothing,” he responded. “Although I don’t like him, he needs to stay the night at your house.” he added.
“What is the reason of your hatred to Zac?” I asked him.
Curious as to why he doesn’t like Zac, when Zac didn’t do anything that could make him mad or anything.
Zac is good and he is careful with Layzen.
“It is because you are calling him by his name,” he retorted. “He is capable of playing with Layzen every day and he might snatch you away from me.” he added.
Ahh. He and his amazing advanced thinking skills.
Aside from his high-paying ideas, his advanced thinking skills are better too.
After half an hour, we reached the event place. Loud music from the inside welcomes us. We parked the car near the entrance. Zarsuelo opened the car door for me.
“Thank you.” I told him.
“It feels like we are on a date tonight,” he answered excitedly. “Come on.” he said, and lifted his left hand.
I clung to his arms. Not saying any thing or two. Saying more things will make our conversation long. We won’t be able to enter the party if I object to him here.
“Good evening, Ma’am and Sir. Can we get your invitation card, please?” A man greeted.
I was about to hand him the invitation card when Zarsuelo suddenly snatched it away from me and gave it to the man.
After a few seconds of looking at our invitation card, he started to look at their list of visitors.
“You may now enter the party, have a good night and enjoy it.” The man said, guiding his hands for us to let in.
“Thank you and sorry about a while ago.” I said before we continued.
Upon entering the party, he stopped walking and showed his face.
“Hey Traizle, let’s have a serious talk.” He initiated.
“And what is that all about?” I asked confused.
If it was serious, he should have told me about it while we were in his car.
“Don’t stay away from me. Don’t ever go away from my sight, okay?” He answered.
Is that really important?
“Where would I go if the party is for all business people? Who do you think I am? An owner of a company or what?” I asked back.
He beamed before fixing his suit. “It is just that you are so attractive tonight. Who knows, they might be after you. Remember that I am the first one who asked for your yes, okay?” He replied, reminding me.
“It won’t happen, so better act like a business man.” I told him.
“I will,” he responded. “I just want to make sure.” he added. Walking our way to the main hall, I could see a lot of people drinking and talking to each other.
Is this what they called a business party?
It is just the name of the party that is different, but nothing more than that. A normal party, if I may say so.
“Matthew!” A man exclaimed happily from afar.
Zarsuelo finds the owner of the voice. He flashed a big smile after seeing the man who called him. “Mr. Arias! It’s good to see you here.” Zarsuelo greeted him back.
Arias? Is it his father’s friend?
The owner of the Brandless company?
“I, as well, Aiden, is busy talking with his friends, so you might bump into him wherever after. Anyway, who is this beautiful woman with you?” Mr. Arias asked, pertaining to me.
I must be pretty.
Hearing it from someone who I met for the first time feels good.
“She is Traizle, my secretary.” Zarsuelo replied, introducing me.
“I heard about her from my son,” Mr. Arias said, laughing. “I am quite surprised that she is with you. It’s been years since you’ve been with a woman at a business party.” he added.
“Ah yes. But now I have her, so I will be going to the parties with her from now on.” Zarsuelo answered.
“Traizle, I am happy to meet you. Knowing you are handling him is very astonishing already,” Mr. Arias complimented me. “His grandparents would be happy to hear that someone could handle Matthew.” he added.
“He is an oddball often, so I need to look for him very carefully. Thank you for your compliment.” I replied.
