The President’s Mistake A Tale of Love and Regret

Chapter 510 The Unraveled Secret

Ethan collapsed to the ground. Despite his deep love for Luna, she had crossed a line that was unforgivable, involving even his father in her schemes.

He had long suspected the truth but had been unwilling to confront it.

Throughout his long, lonely life, the old man had been the father figure he had always lacked. He had grown up with Asgore's silent support, who had patiently tolerated all his flaws and bad temper.

Asgore was someone Luna should never have touched.

Ethan had always seen Luna's capriciousness as a charming quirk, but manipulating Asgore to commit crimes was beyond anything he could accept.

The gun in his hand slowly fell to the ground as he knelt on the dirty floor.

Asgore reached out and gently pulled his son into a tight embrace, repeatedly whispering, "My child, don't be sad. She isn't right for you. She truly isn't."

Ethan's head rested against the old man's chest as he began to sob softly.

"I've tried so hard for seven years. Why doesn't she love me?"

"She gave me her first time. I was her first man. Why can't she look back at me?”

"I can give her everything. Why? Why?"

Nathaniel watched coldly as Ethan and Asgore kneeled together, embracing. Soon, Koen called in with an update.

"Mr. Nathaniel, Luna is in the wine cellar."

Nathaniel's expression darkened slightly. "Contact the local police."

Koen was momentarily taken aback. He had expected Nathaniel to administer some personal form of justice, but it seemed he intended to turn her over to the authorities.

This meant Luna would face charges of kidnapping, attempted murder, and other serious offenses. The prospect of prison was inevitable.

Though she might spend a long time behind bars, this was still a measure of mercy. She needed to understand that her actions had nearly cost Freya and Mason their lives.

Nathaniel's decision was likely meant to give Hudson a sense of resolution. It was a final act of fairness, showing that he had exhausted all avenues of compassion and justice.

"Mr. Nathaniel, Luna wants to see you. She has something to say."

"No need," Nathaniel replied curtly. He had no intention of wasting any more time on this matter.

"Have everyone leave. The police are on their way. We don't want them to see this scene. You all stay here and handle things."

Nathaniel turned and left the estate; the sound of police sirens and Luna's distant cries, screams, and frantic shouting soon followed.

He left without pausing, immediately boarding his car.

Luna was taken out of the wine cellar by the police, along with Ethan's biological father, Asgore.

Ethan watched Luna, who was now hysterically crying and screaming. His brow furrowed deeply. He had often accommodated her in the past, but this time he couldn't bring himself to do so.

Even as the police dragged Luna out, she struggled and tried to break free, but they forcefully restrained her on the ground.

"Nathaniel! You bastard! Why don't you go die? Die already!"

Luna's hair was a mess, and she looked utterly worn out, as if on the verge of a complete breakdown. Her once-proud demeanor crumbled, and she yelled at Ethan with intense anger.

"You liar! Didn't you say you could clear my name? You worthless piece of trash! Worthless!"

Ethan had never seen Luna like this before. Her hair was disheveled, and she looked like a madwoman, her expression twisted and fierce.

Ethan's brow tightened as he instinctively recoiled. This was not the strong, queenly woman he had once admired.

The glamorous, mysterious Luna was now a far cry from the angry woman before

him, resembling a street brawler more than anything else.

He finally understood why Nathaniel had no interest in Luna. She was too competitive, unreasonable, and hysterical. The woman was terrifying.

As Luna was pushed into the police car, Asgore, who followed behind remained calm. He looked at his son and said softly, “Ethan, seeing through a woman after seven years is, in its way, a blessing."

"Your life is long, and you will meet many people, both men and women. Among them, there will be someone who is meant for you."

"I wish you all the best."

Ethan lowered his head, unable to meet Asgore's gaze. He felt deep shame for the turmoil he had caused, all because of his own actions.

The crowd quickly dispersed, and the estate returned to its usual tranquility. Ethan stared at the darkening sky, realizing he was left alone. Perhaps people are born into this world to undergo trials, and ultimately, the outcome is left to fate.noveldrama

Nathaniel returned to the Pontenero apartment. Koen's men were about to check the surveillance cameras when Mr. Nathaniel arrived.

They decided not to disturb him, allowing him some rest. The surveillance review would have to wait until Nathaniel returned to Seville.

After dealing with Luna and heading to Ravenwood, Nathaniel focused on Michael and the Hill family.

The Hill family was on a different level from Luna. In Saeville, the Hill family was second only to the Gomez family and the Morgan family.

However, the Hill family truly e

became a top-tier conglomerate

only after the Morgan family net

Much of the Hill family's wealth

came from acquiring the Morgan family's former assets, which had been driven to the brink by the Gómez family.

The Hill family intervened forcefully, saving many of the Morgan family's assets,

which Nathaniel later bought at a low price when he grew older.

Nathaniel was grateful to the Hill family for their assistance. However, he had realized that the Hill family's realized rise was partly due to the Morgan family's downfall. Despite this, he chose not to dwell on it, given their past help.

Nathaniel stared at the documents in his hand, his mind troubled by an unsettling thought.

He had once been deceived by the Hill family, believing them to be benevolent. But with each event and action, it seemed the Hill family's shamelessness and malice were unparalleled.

Why would Michael, with such character, have saved an orphan from the Morgan family? Was there another dark secret behind it?

In hindsight, the Hill family had gained even more from the Morgan family's collapse than the Gomez family had.

The folder in Nathaniel's hand dropped to the ground with a crash. Koen hurried into the study.

Nathaniel, feeling a throbbing pain in his temples, rubbed his forehead and asked, "Where is Mrs. Morgan?"
