The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Chapter 30: Another side of you

Alexandra couldn't fathom why Nathaniel had to say that to her. First, he blamed her for what happened to Olivia as if he was so damn sure that she caused harm to her. Even though his action had enraged her, she decided to let it go and not try to defend herself since she was the mastermind.

But he still had to go ahead and bring up their marriage, that was a blow to her face and deep down, it made her feel let down, trampled upon. She couldn't believe he would drag their marriage into the drama all because of Olivia who meant nothing to him.

Alexandra knew Nathaniel may have thought that she had gone too far by applying aphrodisiac on Olivia before she left the house, but she didn't regret it. If given another opportunity, she would still do it again because Olivia deserves it even much worse and this was only the beginning. The next one was going to hit her harder the same manner she had hit her, breaking every piece of her.

Entering the cozy restaurant Alexandra place her order sitting at that same table she had sat with Nathaniel while they ate the other days, memories invade her mind and she quickly pushes him out of her mind.

"You started this Nathaniel" she scoffs, unbelievably hating how he had asked her about those Rogues.

Although she had been the one who arranged for those rogues to attack Olivia and Adams, Alexandra didn't want to admit to anyone much less him, and denying his accusation wasn't in the picture, it was a petty act she hates to result in especially when it comes to Olivia and Adams.

Rubbing her palms together excitedly as the waiter departs, Alexandra couldn't think of any better way to celebrate her triumphant victory over Olivia and Adams than treating herself to a nice meal, cutting the pork meat, Alexandra savors the mouth-watering taste as it pleasures her bud.

"This is so good" she smiles takes another bite, takes a sip of her juice, and attempts to take another bite when a voice states.

"Wow! Are you going to finish all that by yourself?"

Lifting her head, Alexandra locks eyes with the pack member earlier.

"Oh hey"

"I don't know you also come to this restaurant"

"I do" Alexandra states hoping she wouldn't want to sit down with her but her hope was cut short when the girl draws out a seat and plops down.

"Hope you don't mind?"

Alexandra forces a smile. "I mind," she thinks in her mind but doesn't dare say it, for she was aware of what words like that would do to another person, it will damage their self-esteem making them feel as though they are not wanted.

"Alexandra, do you mind?" The girl states and Alexandra snaps back to reality.

"No, of course not. There's a lot of meat, you can join me"

"Is it raw meat with blood?"

Alexandra glares at her. "Keep your voice down, someone might hear you"

"But we're werewolves, everyone in this town knows we exist"

"But not everyone knows our eating habits let alone we try to be civil so as not to scare humans away"

"Wow, so cool" The girl states and cuts a piece of meat, chewing it gently. "Is too tender but is okay, is spicy. I love spicy meat"

"They sell the best meat here"

The girl nods affirmatively, stretching her muscles and it cracks, she groans. "This is exactly what I need"

"Long training"

"Is killing me"

"Then stop it" Alexandra chuckles

"I can't, my mom said I'm too weak and so this training is the only thing I use to

prove to her that I'm not weak"

Not saying a word, Alexandra continues to eat her food.

"Can I ask you something?" The girl said

"You can"

"Werewolves are meant to heal quickly but what happens when a werewolf can't heal themselves or heals slowly? What could cause it?"

"I've never seen when a werewolf cannot heal itself when they are wounded. However, a werewolf heals slowly if the injury is severe"

"You sure? I was going to head to the council library for more research"

"That would be a great idea but who is the werewolf in question," Alexandra asks, curious

Lowering down her cutlery, the girl rolls up her trouser exposing a deep cut on her leg causing Alexandra's eyes to widen.

"How did you get this?"

"When I went for training a couple of days ago, a rod cut my leg and it was supposed to heal, is not even that deep but strangely it hasn't healed"

"Shouldn't you see the pack doctor?"

The girl quickly shakes her head disapprovingly. "Between the both of us, he gives me the creeps"

Alexandra laughs wondering why most of her pack members say that.

"You know you have to treat your wound, you can't keep it exposed for long, it could get infected"noveldrama

"I was heading to the hospital but I decided to swing by here to pleasure my grumbling stomach"

Alexandra smiles, she didn't know she was this fun to be with.

"I admire you" The girl whispers, her face saddens

"You admire me" Alexandra states, taken aback

"Yes"

"Why? Is it because I'm an Alpha?"

"Of course not, although I like the fact that you are an Alpha" The girl giggles

"I like you, you are honest not to mention blunt, and to add, one of the real persons I've met"

"Thank you but I admire you because you are the kind of Alpha we need and you are rare, despite what Olivia did to you, trying to love your mate. You choose not to fight her but to care about her"

Gazing intently into her eyes, Alexandra drops her gaze uncertain of what to say. The girl's alarm watch ticks off and she quickly stops it, groaning.

"Can't believe is already time"

"Time for?"

"For me to get to the clinic" she stands up, chugging another piece of meat into her mouth, gulping down Alexandra's juice.

"Treat is on me next time and by the way, nice boots, you rock" she runs off before Alexandra could get to utter any word.

Raising her now empty glass, amazed. Alexandra states. "Hilarious! Isn't she something?"

"Ding!"

A message alert from Nathaniel that reads. "Have you reached your house?"
