"I believe the line was; a mouth-watering meal, I savored all thanks to the one

who claims to be my mate"

"Had no idea you wrote that note" he takes another bite

"Who do you think wrote it? One of your girlfriends?"

Nathaniel pauses, dabbing out the food in his mouth, and stands up.

"You just know how to ruin the mood" He walks out slamming the door.

As Nathaniel enters his bedroom, he slams the door, takes off his shoes, and moves towards the bed, he falls to the soft mattress, gazing at the ceiling. A lot of things runs through his mind, and all he wanted to do with spend time with her, that way he would still try to convince her to come with him to his pack but Alexandra had a way of ruining the mood and setting him off and the worst of it all is that she would never apologize.

Deep down, Nathaniel knew that he had upset her by scolding her for what she did to Olivia but he had thought they were way past this and she had already forgotten little did he know that she was still angry. Although he had in mind to apologize, he felt Alexandra was taking things a bit far but the one that has hurt him the most is the fact that she keeps trying to tie him together with other women.

Something Nathaniel found absurd because he wasn't one of those Alpha and even in his pack, he wasn't the type to get entangled with women, all he cared about was his position and pack, women were the least of his problem especially now that he has found his mate.

"That girl is crazy" he mutters sitting upright.

"How can I do all of these and she still keeps mentioning other women"

"I haven't given her a reason for doubt or anything and she's my true mate" he whispers the latter, running his hand through his hair.

Closing his eyes for a moment, he opens them and imagines Alexandra sitting next to him.

"Go away, I'm mad at you"

"Why?" She asks.

"Don't act like you don't know, the real you keep pissing me off"

She smiles. "The real me is annoying"

"Not all the time"

"Did you already apologize?"

"I hold back my apology, it's not like she deserves it" He stands up and gazes at her. "I wish she will not be too hard on me all the time, I invited her to crimson pack"

"Is that your pack?"

"Yea"

"What has her response?"noveldrama

"Isn't it already obvious?"

"She refused to go with you?"

"Yes"

"Are you going to give up?"

"Of course not, I intend on asking her over and over again"

"Be positive, I'm certain she will say yes to you"

"I hope so"

A soft knock comes on the door and Nathaniel glances towards the door.

"It must be your real self knocking. I wonder what she wants" He sighs

"What are you waiting for? Go open the door"

"I don't want to go"

"Why?"

"She keeps pissing me off"

"Just talk to her"

"Talk to you soon, my imaginative mate" he smiles and Alexandra fades away. Standing up, he strides towards the door and opens it exposing Alexandra staring down at him.

"Glad you've finally showed up, was wondering if you've suddenly fallen asleep" "Is that all?" He tries to slam the door against her face but she quickly stops him. "Don't tell me you're pissed off, if you're I won't apologize"

"I was not asking for it. Why are you here? Did you get bored alone and suddenly need someone to talk with"

"Don't get ahead of yourself. I wanted to know what I should do to the food you left"

"Food I left? I will have the innkeeper send someone over to take it out. Is that all?"

"Yes"

Without saying another word, Nathaniel tries to shut the door but Alexandra bridges him.

"Don't regret what you're doing now"

"Goodnight Alexandra" he quickly slams the door against her face, Leaning against the door he smiles aware she was still standing on the other side of the door.

A soft knock comes on the door and he clears his throat and opens the door.

"What do you want?" Nathaniel feigns to be stern

"You slammed the door against my face"

"And so? You were done talking so I felt the urge"

"You felt the urge. Aren't you being a little too much right now?"

"No" He tries to close the door and she quickly pushes the door causing Nathaniel

to step aside. "What do you want? Isn't it late?"

"It is but I want to see your bedroom, want to be certain you didn't cheat me into taking the larger bedroom while I took to the small one"

Nathaniel scoffs. "You're unbelievable, come on in"

Taking a step into the room, she glances around the nicely appointed bedroom.

"Have you found what you are looking for?"

"Is it still the same"

"Now you've confirmed, can you go to your room? I'm tired and want to sleep" "Are you kicking me out?"

Nathaniel runs his hand through his hair frustrated, he was certain Alexandra was trying to pick a fight with him but he wasn't going to let her. He was tired and needed to rest since tomorrow was going to be another long day.

"What do you want Alexandra?"

"Nothing, I want to be certain that we are leaving here tomorrow because I need to check on something"

"What's that?"

"That's none of your business. I just need you to take me back to the place I was attacked"

"Why? Are you trying to get attacked again?"

"You know the problem with you Nathaniel, you are very nosy. Goodnight Mister" she attempts to leave and he holds her hand

"You entered and now you are leaving"

"Yes I came to remind you that we have to leave early"

"Alright go to bed and don't bother looking for the moon, is still raining"

She scoffs striding out and shutting the door. Nathaniel smiles moving to the bed, he mounts on top, staring into space, and a lot of things run through his mind. He hadn't seen a woman like Alexandra and even though she was fond of scheming around, he still couldn't help but be attracted to her. Closing his eyes for a moment, he wonders what she was doing, if she was already asleep or thinking about him.

Deep down, Nathaniel wasn't sure if she has ever thought about him but all he cares about was convincing her to come with him to crimson pack.

"Is she already asleep?" He takes his phone and attempts to call her but on a second thought pushes the feeling aside, shutting his eyes, darkness engulfs him.

Nathaniel wakes up with the annoying sound of his alarm blaring in his ear, turning it off, he tosses his phone aside, running his hand through his hair, a heavy thud comes on the door and he glances at the dusty clock hanging on the

wall.

"Who could it be?" He sighs as the thud comes on the door the second time

Standing up he takes slow steps towards the door and opens it exposing Alexandra, all freshened up.

"You look like you just woke from bed"

"And you look like you just had a bath" he groans walking into the room and she

follows him inside slamming the door.

"I just had a bath"

"Okay" Nathaniel falls to the bed, grabbing a pillow, he engulfs it tightly

"You're unbelievable" she frowns. "How could you wake up by this time, don't you

know we are supposed to hit the road this morning"

"Keep your voice down people are still sleeping in the inn and your loud voice

could wake them up"

"Nathaniel!" She raises her voice

"What?" He sits upright. "What do you want?"

"We need to leave now"

"Is not even the dawn of the day and our car is still stuck in the mud, we need a

mechanic who doesn't resume work until 8:00"

"What sort of lazy worker is he?"

"The type who isn't looking for riches"

"Stop trying to defend him, because of his lousy working ethics we have to be

stuck here"

"Will you quit it, Alexandra?"

"Why? Are you hoping to stay here a little longer? Is there a girl you want to impress? Don't you have a pack to run? Did you meet her by the bar?"

Feeling his adrenaline rush up, Nathaniel raises his voice aloud. "Will you shut the

hell up Alexandra?"

Running his hand through his hair exhales deeply calming his nerves. Alexandra

gawks at him and reclines on a stool.

"I'm sorry" he whispers

"You already shouted at me. What's the point of apologizing"

"My gosh Alexandra is too early to pick a fight"

"So you're saying that I love picking a fight"

"No that's not what I'm saying"

"You just said is too early to pick a fight and you said this same picking a fighting

line yesterday"

"Can you blame me? Every time I try to have a conversation with you, you turn it around to talking about other girls. Have I given you a reason to doubt me? All I wanted is to take you to my pack, to strengthen our wolf bond since we are mates but you keep making everything difficult"

"Funny how you want to dump everything on my head. Whose fault is it that we are stuck here till 8:00"

"Don't try to change the subject, all I wanted to do was try to convince you so we could go to my pack"

"My gosh, I thought we were way past this, haven't I already told you that I'm not

going"

"I'm not giving up Alexandra. When I want something I go for it"

"What if you fail?"

"I keep trying till I get it right. I don't give up"

"Maybe because no one has made you give up"

"No one needs to make you give up. As an Alpha, I have an obligation to my pack

and to make your pack members go with that obligation, you need to live by example. So I don't give up because I believe that there's always a way"

"Wow" she claps, boringly "Get up and hit the shower, you look like a mess"

"And you look very hot"

"Don't flatter me" she stands up

"Don't say that again" he whispers causing her to stare at him

"Say what?"

"You know what I'm talking about"

"I'm not some sorceress Nathaniel, you have to be more specific if you want me to

understand you"

"Don't mention other women's names when I'm with you"

"Why? Are you guilty?"

"No, but it makes you feel more guilty and you are my mate"

"Make me feel more guilty"

"Yes since you are the one I saw with Adam yet I never judged you and when you

told me he meant nothing. I didn't doubt your words and haven't still doubted you"

"So in essence you are saying that I'm the one with another male"

"An alpha to be precise who you set up with your sister" Alexandra scoffs, unbelievably, startled.
