Chapter 2185 Conversation With Serena

Cindy certainly hoped to keep a distance from Lucy, but it wasn't like she could stop the woman from

approaching her. She pursed her lips and fell silent.

Serena understood why Cindy was frustrated, and she felt the same. Previously, Lucy couldn't stop

bugging her as well. I think Lucy might have wanted to learn something from me or make use of my

fame and status to benefit herself. Why do some grow in age but not in emotional intelligence?

All of them were adults, but Lucy didn't seem to be able to read the room. She also didn't seem to

realize that her behavior was annoying. All in all, she was self-centered, as she only looked at All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

everything from her perspective without caring about others' feelings. Therefore, she was a tricky one

to deal with.

Since Serena had nothing else to do at the moment, she decided to have a long talk with Cindy. She

asked Cindy whether Lucy had caused her trouble. Cindy wouldn't say it was harassment, but she

narrated her encounters with Lucy to Serena.

A puzzled Cindy explained, "Mr. Frye and I are just friends, and I have a boyfriend. Moreover, everyone

in the country knows who my boyfriend is. I feel that Miss Harrison regards me as a love rival, and she

keeps trying to glean some information from me."

Serena dipped her head. "I feel you."

She was embarrassed to tell the woman that Lucy was initially hostile to her for the same reason. In

truth, she had nothing to do with Gary. She merely complimented Gary and said that he was a talented

person.

Much to her chagrin, Lucy started behaving weirdly after that. Sometimes, she would ask whether

Serena still came into contact with Gary.

Serena was speechless at that. She only intended to compliment Gary, and it wasn't like she was into

him. She didn't expect Lucy to treat her like a love rival.

After giving it some thought, Serena said, "If you think about it, she's more frustrated than you are, and

her life is a hundred times more miserable than yours. Perhaps you'll feel better that way."

Cindy chuckled upon hearing that. "Was that how you calmed yourself down when dealing with her in

the past, Miss Warhol?"

Well, that's kind of true. Serena shook her head and continued, "There was once when she just

wouldn't stop pestering me. My career was going nowhere at that time. From her perspective, she

thought I was doing well, as I had some connections and resources. We're not close friends as we're

just former schoolmates, but she still came looking for me. Regardless of what I said, she just wouldn't

give up. I was truly frustrated. Then, one day, I thought that since she couldn't get any benefits from

me, she was perhaps more upset than I was. Perhaps she was the one who kept tossing and turning in

bed every night. Upon that realization, I felt at ease."

Cindy nodded. "That's a good way to deal with this issue."

Serena let out a breath and went on to say, "If she can't get anything from you, she'll eventually give

up. Therefore, you mustn't let her affect your work. Stay away from her as much as you can. If she

comes looking for you, just ignore her. It's not like she has nothing better to do. When she's busy with

work, she'll forget about you."

Following a moment of deliberation, Cindy felt that it was the only thing she could do.

After staying in Serena's office for a while longer, Cindy rose from the chair and went back to work. She

hadn't been busy recently. She just had to finish drawing the design and could get some rest.

She stretched her back in her chair and waited for time to pass.

However, Lucy came looking for her again before it was time to get off work. After the conversation with

Serena, Cindy was at ease. Therefore, she no longer felt annoyed when she saw Lucy.
