The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection

Chapter 928

George and the others threw a celebration party for Felix's victory that night, and everyone was in high spirits. Even Milo, who usually avoided such gatherings, joined in the festivities.

Despite drinking quite a bit, Felix cleared his mind when he got home and began studying the Lone Paragon technique. He could not resist exploring something that so many people had been seeking. When Felix opened his eyes again, he was shocked to find that dawn had already broken-time had passed even faster than during pill cultivation.

"The Lone Paragon is just a fragment? How incredible must the complete version be?" he wondered aloud.

Indeed, the Lone Paragon technique he received could triple his combat power without any side effects, but it was only a portion of the whole. He murmured, "Where is the rest of the Lone Paragon?" According to the text, the Lone Paragon techniques had to be learned sequentially, and Felix had only received the most basic part. Without this foundation, one would not even qualify to discover the advanced techniques, let alone master them.

"This really comes down to fate, I guess," Felix mused. Checking the time, he noticed that it was already 6:30 am. So, he quickly ate breakfast and headed out.

This was his first visit to headquarters, and Felix was curious about the place. The security was indeed strict, just as he had heard.

Finally, he met with Xena in an office. He joked, "Are you already giving me another assignment?" After all, Felix had been working overtime for them in the past six months.

"Actually, I am, but this mission depends on whether you've mastered the Lone Paragon," Xena replied. Hearing it was about the Lone Paragon, Felix said with interest, "Then tell me more."

"According to the Protector's assessment, you should be able to comprehend the Lone Paragon within a month. Is that true?" Xena asked.

After some thought, Felix responded, "That sounds about right."

"Good. In one month, you'll head to that side-I think you know what I'm referring to," Xena said.

Felix instantly sat up straighter. "I've heard of 'that side,' but I know nothing about what it actually is. Why

would headquarters send me to such a mysterious location?"

Xena's expression showed a hint of

helplessness, "I can only tell you

what headquarters authorized me to

share. The rest is classified-this

mission concerns our nation's

survival, so please take it seriously."

"National survival? That's quite the claim," Felix thought. Then, he asked aloud, "What if someone else had received the Lone Paragon?"

"Whoever receives it must complete this mission. Whether through incentives or pressure, no one can refuse," Xena explained.

Felix smiled wryly, acknowledging the truth in her words.

"The Lone Paragon was only

provided to increase the mission's chances of success," Xena continued. "Consider what this. mission's importance must be f we're willing to give up sucha precious technique." It was clear this would be an extremely challenging mission if they were willing to part with the Lone Paragon. Even though Felix had demonstrated his Boneforging Realm abilities, Xena maintained her serious demeanor.

"Whether I'm a Dragon Knight or not, my bloodline and abilities remain the same. If my country needs me,

I won't hesitate to serve," Felix declared.

Taking a deep breath, Xena finally revealed, "Your mission is to bring the people from that side to the capital. The nation needs their help to repel an impending invasion."
