Chapter 107
Chapter 107
Dimitri:
I watched as Aurora entered the house, her eyes avoiding mine as she looked down at her feet.
“Aurora?” I asked, calling her. She looked at me, jumping in surprise as I broke her train of thoughts.
“Hey,” she said, crossing her arms over her chest. She walked toward me, her eyes holding more pain than I thought that it should, and I shook my head in question at the fact that Natalia wasn’t with her.
“Is everything okay? You came back without Natalia?” I asked, shaking my head in question. She didn’t answer for a few seconds, and I could tell that she was debating on her response before she shook her head.
hook her head.
“She stayed back with her cousins. I chose to go back home.” She said, wanting to walk past me. I wrapped my arm around her waist, stopping her, and she sighed. I could tell that this wasn’t something that she expected, but I didn’t want her going inside being as upset as she was, and I wasn’t going to let her be ignored of feel like she was when she was in this much pain.
“Dimitri…”
“I am your chosen mate, Aurora.” I said, stopping her. “This attitude between us has to stop, malyshka. Just allow me to prove to you that I am the man that you are going to want to be with, don’t keep shutting the doors in my face whenever I try to open them.”
Her heart raced, and I could see her hesitation in her eyes for a second before she wrapped. her arms around me. I hugged her back as tightly, burying my head in the crook of her n*eck as she fisted my shirt, not saying a word. I didn’t pull away, allowing her to feel the safety of my embrace, and it wasn’t until I heard her sniffing that I frowned as I realized. that she was crying.
“Aurora…”

“I am tired of all of this, Dimitri.” She said, making my heart clench as she pulled away to look at me. “I am tired of being judged by everyone, even the ones that I call friends.”
“Who was judging you, Aurora?” I asked, shaking my head in question. “Did anything happen with Natalia…?”
“First, Charlotte. The woman was my friend, I thought she was, at least. She was there as I chose the ceremony guest that I wanted to wear, and then I have Natalia who is now hitting me with what she knows is my weakest points.” She said, making me frown as I felt my blood boil. “I couldn’t even say anything as I didn’t want to risk being the reason an alliance between the two of you. But I am tired, Dimitri.”
I didn’t say a word, knowing that she wasn’t going to tell me what happened between them, and I knew to be thankful for the fact that she was actually willing to open up to me, even if a little about what happened or could have possibly happened. I, at least, knew that the reason behind her pain right now was Natalia. The rest, I can deal with later.
“I am just tired of being treated as if I was nothing. I am tired of everyone treating me as if I was their dirt rag, and I am tired of thinking that I am going to be less…”
“You are not going to be less, Aurora.” I said, stopping her. “You never were less than anyone. in the first place.”
“They don’t know that, and I am treated as if I was the worst of girls. Not only that, but I am treated as if I was more than willing to be slapped in the face by everyone and anyone, and I am getting tired of it, Dimitri.” She said, and I looked down at my feet for a second, ignoring the clench that I felt in my ch*st as I read her pain in her voice. The fact that I knew and understood the reason behind it was the thing that pained me most, and 1 couldn’t help but find myself growing more protective as I saw her growing vulnerable, especially since I knew that she normally tried her best to hide it regardless of her bursts.
I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her to my chest, my arms cradling her, holding her to my ch*st before I pulled away to look down at her. Her heart raced against her chest, and I put my finger under her chin, raising her face for her to look at me. Our eyes were fixed. on one another for a second, too long before I leaned in to connect my l*ps against hers. The k*ss was gentle, slow, loving, and the fact that she returned the k*ss was something that I was thankful for, especially because I didn’t think that she would bother doing so.
I wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her closer as I deepened the k*ss, momentarily forgetting the fact that we were in the living room. She wrapped her arms.

around my n*eck, and I smiled into the k*ss, wanting to push my tongue inside her mouth before she pulled away. I took a deep breath as the two of us rested our foreheads against one another.
My eyes were fixed on hers as her own were closed, and I couldn’t help smile at her reddening cheeks as she blushed, clearly processing the fact that we k*ssed after a very long time of not doing so. But now, I had a promise to give her, and I was going to be sure that no one, not a single soul dared hurt her anymore. And that was something that I aimed to be make her know.
“I give you my word, I am going to be the barrier between you and whoever thinks of hurting you, Aurora.” I said, my voice softening as I looked at her. She opened her face, her eyes meeting mine, and I smiled. “I know that I haven’t been the best mate nor was I the man that you can trust. But I give you my f**king word that I am going to prove to you that I am.”
“As for Charlotte, and I know that you are still insecure about her topic. And no matter what you are going to tell me, I am not going to buy it when it comes to her topic, I am going to prove to you that SHE is my PAST, and she is going to be a past that is not going to be repeating itself again.” I said, running my finger over her cheekbone. Her heart raced, and I leaned in to k*ss her forehead, letting my l*ps linger there for a few seconds before pulling away to whisper. “I just need you to trust me, malyshka…”Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
