Chapter 777

It was almost time for Hera to meet Sonny. She wanted to save some time, so she agreed to shower with Bernard.

However, time passed slowly when they showered together. When Hera left the bathroom after showering, her legs felt like jelly.

She lay on the bed and started regretting agreeing to Bernard's request. She shouldn't have agreed to shower with him.

A while later, Douglas knocked at the door and brought two sets of clothes for them. After changing, Bernard approached Hera to help her change into her clothes.

"Sweetie, I'm starting to think that you're in poor health," Bernard commented. "How long has it been since you last exercised?"

"Scram!" Hera tried to kick him.

Before the kick landed, Bernard grabbed her by the ankle. He looked at her foot. She had flawless skin, and her nails were neatly trimmed. Her toes were rather chubby, and he found them quite cute somehow.

He swallowed, but then he realized that he couldn't contain himself any longer, and they delved in for another round of fervent passion.

Sometime later, they finally left the hotel. Hera was late by the time they reached the entrance of the university.

She headed straight to the office and bumped into Sonny, who seemed to be in a hurry as he made his way to the office from the other end of the corridor.

"Hera, sorry to keep you waiting," said Sonny when he saw her. "The research team I'm leading is joining a national robotics competition this afternoon. Something came up with our final product. It was urgent, so I went over to help the team with it. I didn't have the time to inform you of it beforehand."

Hera felt rather embarrassed herself since she had only arrived just a moment ago. "It's no big deal. I just arrived not too long ago."

"Well, you came just in time," said Sonny, pushing the door open. "Let's head inside."

"Is the problem with the product settled?" Hera asked casually.

Sonny could feel a headache starting at the mention of the product. "No. The code we programmed had always been fine before this. We did lots of tests too, and we had never encountered any problems with it.

"But just this morning, the problem suddenly appeared when we were getting things ready for the competition. The students are still trying to find a way to fix it."

He continued, "Time is of the essence. I'll handle the registration for you and go back to help the students with the problem. Sorry, but I can't show you around the campus in person. I'll have Christopher show you around. You'll be okay with that, right?"

Hera had heard a thing or two about the national robotics competition. She planned to create a healthcare robot. Needless to say, she was interested in anything related to robots too.

"Don't worry about that. Let me head over to the lab with you. I want to take a look at the robot too," she said.noveldrama

Sonny was more than happy to hear that. "Sure! You're quite experienced in programming. Maybe you can help the students with it?"

He knew Hera was known as the one and only Raven in the world of hackers. Truth be told, he idolized Raven.

After going through the procedures for the registration, Sonny and Hera headed to the lab. More than ten students scurried about in Lab 312. In the center of the lab stood a robot that was around five feet tall. It moved like it was out of control. The lab was a mess-the apparatus and tools were strewn about as the students tried to find a solution.

"Who's that, Mr. Barr?" asked one of the students who stood near the door.

The students there immersed themselves in their projects and books all day long, so they knew nothing about the news regarding Hera.

"She's a new student here," said Sonny. "Everyone, meet Hera Youngworth. She just arrived due to some health concerns. I brought her here to take a look at our robot."

"I see. You're a freshman, then," said Jeremy Wood, a balding fourth-year senior with thick- framed glasses. He was the team leader. "You can stand at the side and look at it. Don't touch it, though."

He had barely finished talking when Hera was done scrutinizing the robot. She stepped forth and pressed a button on the robot's stomach. The robot's alarm immediately went off.

"I told you not to touch it!" Jeremey yelled frantically.

"Jeremy, calm down," said Sonny. "Hera majored in AI. She knows how to program."

"Huh? The robot stopped moving around like crazy!" exclaimed some students. Although the siren had gone off, the robot finally stopped going haywire.

Sonny and Jeremy turned around in surprise. It took so many of them to make this robot, yet none of them managed to make it stop.

Miraculously, Hera managed to stop the robot from going nuts right after she came here.
