Chapter 26: Top Secret!
Chapter 26: Top Secret!
The director turned around and glared coldly at Claudia. He was angry.
Why did Claudia arrest him? It was troublesome.
He could be fired because of Maxwell!
The director turned around and walked into the office.
"Sir...." Claudia followed the director. She was confused.
"Why did Beijing issue an order to release Maxwell? His resume says that he is an ordinary person,"
Claudia asked and crossed her arms over the chest.
"I don't know." The director's expression was sinister and cold. He was terrifying!
Claudia was astonished. The director had never been so furious.
"I don't care who he is. The City Hall called and said that I would be fired if I don't release him within
five minutes. Claudia, if I were fired, how would you explain it to your father?"
The director turned around and looked at Claudia with a serious expression. He wasn't joking.
"I see." Claudia gritted her teeth. She didn't know the shameless bastard was so powerful.
The leader from Beijing ordered to release him. Who was he on earth?
Claudia was smart. She frowned and thought about it, but couldn’t figure out why.
Maxwell's identity was mysterious.
Claudia walked to the interrogation room and crossed her arms over the chest. She looked through the
surveillance window on the door of the interrogation room.
In the interrogation room, Maxwell was lying on the bed unscrupulously and sleeping soundly. He didn't
take this place as a heavily guarded interrogation room!
Claudia looked at this shameless bastard. She was furious. He had fallen asleep in such a short time.
Was he taking this place as his home?
"Get up." Claudia's beautiful eyes were filled with disgust. She slapped the iron door a few times.
"What's wrong, Captain Claudia?" Maxwell got up and flattered with a smile.
"Hurry up and scram. I don't want to see you." Claudia's tone was cold and she felt disgusted.
"Captain Claudia, fifteen days aren't over yet," Maxwell smiled faintly.
"I've informed your wife. You got released on bail. You can leave now," Claudia said.
"My wife?" Maxwell was surprised. Greta was quick.
He had estimated that it would take a while before Greta arrived. But Greta was much faster than he
had estimated.
Maxwell walked out of the interrogation room. Then he was brought to the entrance of the police station
by Claudia. He saw two beautiful women sitting on benches in the corridor.
"Ms. Greta." Maxwell walked up to Greta and smiled embarrassedly.
Greta stood up and felt more disgusted when she saw Maxwell.
He was sloppier than before entering the police station. She smelled the smoke as if he had crawled
out of a trench. Greta couldn’t help but cover her nose.
Claudia glanced at Greta and Harriet. They were not less slimmer than Claudia. She was shocked,
looking at Maxwell and suspecting his identity.
How could an ordinary person know these two beautiful women. They even asked the police station to
release him on bail. One of them was even the wife of this bastard.
Was he lucky or was there something wrong with the police files? Did he have another identity?
Claudia snorted coldly. Greta and Harriet had different temperaments, but they were both graceful.
Claudia felt jealous.
"Greta, your husband fought with others. I'm surprised." Harriet stared meaningfully at Maxwell, held a
cigarette and spat out the smoke.
"How can he injure someone? It's good that he wasn't killed. He was so weak. He always runs fast
away from danger." Greta glanced at Maxwell and sneered.
Greta looked at him who always made things difficult for her. Her heart was filled with hatred.
Whenever she was in danger, her husband would disappear. If she hadn't hired a bodyguard, she
might have lost her life long ago.
Greta suspected her husband bullied the weak and feared the strong!
Maxwell followed Greta out of the police station and got in the Maybach. They started the engine and
left.
...
It was in a private room of a five-star hotel in the Ocean City. Inside was luxurious decoration, soft
carpets, and dim yellow diamond lamps. This presidential suite was generally available to those big
shots in the Ocean City only.
Hal looked up at the clock. He was wondering why Maxwell had not been brought before him.
Everything was arranged perfectly. Maxwell had been trapped and he couldn't escape even if he
wanted to.
As for the police station, he only needed to make a phone call to settle it. It wasn't a big deal.
As long as he could kill Maxwell, avenge his broken finger, and sleep with Greta and Claudia… Hal
would vent all his anger on that bitch Greta.
Suddenly, the door of the private room was pushed open and one of Hal's subordinates rushed in in
panic.
"Mr. Hal, Maxwell left the police station!"
"What happened?" Hal was furious. His tone was extremely frightening and gloomy. "Didn't we arrange
someone in the police station? Anyone who comes to bail him out will be refused."
"Mr. Hal, this is the order from the director. I don't know what happened. They detained him. Then the
director ordered to release him." The subordinate was shocked. The director ordered to release
Maxwell in person!
Why was he so powerful? How was that possible?
"Maxwell!" Hal slapped the wooden table fiercely. A crisp sound rang out. The wooden table was
cracked. The cracks were shocking!
Hal said hatefully. He had never thought that Maxwell would be able to escape from his plan!
...
Inside the Ocean City Police Station, Claudia looked through Maxwell's information repeatedly. Maxwell
was clean and ordinary without any problems. However, Claudia had an intuition that there was
something wrong with Maxwell’s information.
Why did the leader from Beijing order to release an ordinary person?
"Maxwell, you can't escape!" Claudia muttered. She got up and walked towards the director's office.
"Director, I think there is something wrong with Maxwell. I hope you can check his file," Claudia said.
"I see. I will look his file up." The director waved his hand. Because of Maxwell, he was almost fired. He
became curious about this man as well.
Who was he? What was his relationship with the leader from Beijing?
Maxwell almost ruined his career!
The director developed strong curiosity towards Maxwell. Even if Claudia didn't ask, the director would
look him up.
After Claudia left, the director stood up and walked to the window. He looked at the horizon in distance.
The sun was setting. The clouds seemed to be burning, and they were extremely bitter beautiful.
He thought of something. He didn't know why, but had the intuition that the appearance of this
mysterious man seemed to be some kind of omen.
The Ocean City would be no longer peaceful.
The director pushed open the door of the Archives Room and entered. He said indifferently to a police
officer inside, "Investigate Maxwell, a local of the Ocean City."
"Yes, Sir."
The police officer searched for a moment and looked up. "Director, we don’t have his file." NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
"How is that possible?" The director was surprised!
Maxwell's file wasn't in the archive system. Was the file he had forgery?
"Sir, Maxwell isn't from the Ocean City. Shall we look him up in the national archives system?" the
officer asked.
"Yes. Find him out," the director said firmly. He had to find out Maxwell’s identity. Why did the leader of
Beijing care about him?
"Sir, I got it. There's a man Maxwell, whose information matches all the characteristics you offered.
He's from Beijing," the police said. The director stared at the screen. He was excited!
Maxwell was related to Beijing!
"Show me his personal experience." The director was serious and sharp. His tone was filled with
uncontrollable excitement.
The screen went black.
Suddenly, the screen went black and two bright red words appeared on the entire screen!
They were shocked by the two big red characters!
The police officer was shocked and the director's eyes shone brightly. He stared at the screen. His
breathing was rapid. He trembled!
"How is that possible?" the police officer muttered and felt it was inconceivable. This was the most
bizarre thing among the countless files he had investigated into ever since he took up this position.
He was shocked. The director said, "Top secret!"
