Chapter 238 It Is a Sesame Filling
Quality over quantity!
This sentence struck Abby’s heart like an alarm bell.
Abby was completely won over by Aylin’s logical reasoning and emotional appeal. If Abby had met Aylin first when she came to New York, she wouldn’t have even spared Sariah a glance!
Abby pursed her lips and took the initiative to get closer to Aylin, lowering her head to admit her mistake. “I was wrong, Aylin. Today, Sariah asked me to drug you because you had always bullied her.”
Aylin raised her eyebrows. “Do you believe her?”
“I don’t believe it!” The little girl firmly shook their head. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
“Before, no one had ever said what you said to me. They would only bully me for being a child that no mother wanted, and even my father despised me for being a girl.
But after hearing what you said today, Aylin, I think you’re right. Why should I care about what they say, and why should I put myself down to please them? Hmph. If anyone tries to bully me in the future, I’ll feed them sleeping pills!”
Aylin laughed as she looked at her. This young girl appears to be gentle and delicate. In reality, thought, she has a cunning side!
However, since Abby recognized her mistake and was willing to correct herself, it was still not too late to teach her.
“Since you’ve apologized sincerely, I’ll take care of your study expenses from now on. All you need to do is focus on your studies and let me know if you need anything.”
Aylin reached out and gently touched Abby’s smooth, black pigtails before saying calmly, “Actually, you’re very smart. You’re better than most kids your age. Don’t be too hard on yourself. As long as you stay on the right path, I guarantee you’ll have a great future!
From now on, if anyone dares to bully you, just let me know. I’ll have your back, and we’ll see who dares to mess with you!”
Abby felt a sting in her nose, and her eyes turned red.
After all, she had lived without her mother’s love and care since she was little, and her father was a scoundrel. Thus, she really craved family affection.
Unlike Sariah’s insincerity, it was Aylin’s words that truly made her feel the love and care of a sister.
Unable to hold back, tears streamed down her face as Abby burst into tears.
Then, she cried out, “Aylin!”
Then, Abby threw herself into Aylin’s embrace tearfully like a baby bird returning to its nest.
“Even if the internet connection is terrible, it should have been fixed by now.
Ugh! Could it be that the store that sold me the miniature camera cheated me and gave me a faulty one?”
In the garden, Sariah continued to rage helplessly.
The screen was stuck at the moment Abby had entered the door. Up until now, Sariah had no idea what was going on inside.
In the living room, there were housekeepers everywhere. Therefore, Sariah had no chance to sneak upstairs and eavesdrop.
“Damn it! I must return this and get a refund. How dare they charge me 300 dollars for such a piece of junk?”
Sariah kept grumbling about the connection to the miniature camera seller, unknowingly clutching and destroying a bunch of fresh flowers in her hand.
“Bless me…” Sariah, in her desperation, clasped her hands together and began praying for the angel’s protection, hoping that her perfect plan would not go awry.
However, Sariah had never even considered whether or not an angel would protect her from harming others!
“Sariah, what are you talking about?”
Suddenly, a young, innocent voice called out, causing Sariah to open her eyes. Overjoyed, she quickly grabbed Abby and anxiously asked, “How did it go? Did you complete the mission?”
Abby pointed at the pendant. “Sariah, didn’t you see what happened already?”
“Ugh! The internet connection here is terrible! It’s been lagging the whole time. I couldn’t see anything!” Sariah complained.
Abby concealed her emotions and pursed her lips. She had been blinded by the illusion of family affection earlier and had been merely tolerating Sariah. Now, Abby realized how foolish she had been.
Abby looked distraught, clutching the hem of her clothes. “Aylin didn’t drink it, and she told me not to bother her anymore. She kicked me out…”
“This despicable woman! She’s even so wary of children!” Sariah cursed. “I told you she’s not easy to deal with. She’s not someone to bel underestimated!”
Abby calmly handed over the glass of water. “Sariah, have a drink and calm down.”
Sariah was fuming with anger, and she desperately needed a glass of cold water to quench her thirst. Without giving it a second thought, she took the cup and gulped down the water in one breath.
After finishing the drink, Sariah thought that the young girl was caring and sure knew how to take care of people.
Abby looked at her with a pout. Then, she scoffed and shook her head.
Abby had just reached a silent understanding with Aylin in the study. How could Sariah be so foolish to think she could compete with Aylin like this?
Sariah’s simply being oblivious to how foolish she is!
Aylin could see through Sariah’s tricks at a glance, and even predicted that the pendant hanging on me was a miniature camera.
Sariah, on the other hand, can’t even tell when there’s an issue with the miniature camera’s display!
Sariah took advantage of me and didn’t tell me that the water contained poison. Most importantly, she deceived my feelings!
Abby clenched her fists tightly. This is absolutely unforgivable!
Sariah wiped her mouth and pulled Abby up, stomping on the flower beneath her. Angrily, Sariah said, “Forget it. We’ll try again next time. Who does that shameless wretch think she is? Let’s go home!”
As Sariah was speaking, she hurriedly pulled Abby toward the main entrance. However, just as they reached the door, Sariah suddenly let go of her hand, her face turning deathly pale.
Suddenly, there was a loud clatter as Sariah fell to the ground.
“My stomach… hurts. Oh… my stomach hurts so much!”
Intense pain wildly attacked her gastrointestinal tract as if a giant hand was pulling and stirring inside her stomach, forcing Sariah to curl up.
Sariah wanted to squat down to ease the discomfort, but as soon as she did, her stomach churned like a turbulent sea.
“Ugh…!”
Sariah suddenly exclaimed as she puked all the dinner she had eaten.
As if anticipating this, Abby skillfully dodged out of the way in an instant.
Sariah was vomiting in pain. Clutching her stomach, she rolled on the ground, groaning loudly. It seemed like she was about to pass out when a passing housekeeper noticed her and quickly called 911 for help.
The commotion was so loud that even Aylin could hear it. She opened the door and went downstairs, calling out, “John, what’s going on outside?”
John had just finished dealing with the incident and hurriedly entered the room.
“Ms. Koch, it’s that wicked woman. I don’t know if she ate something bad or what, but she just collapsed clutching her stomach as soon as she stepped outside. Thankfully, the ambulance took her away before she started foaming at the mouth.”
John didn’t say it in a very nice tone.
After he finished speaking, he sighed as if he was in a dilemma, pushing the little girl hidden behind him forward. “It’s just that Abby has been left behind, Ms. Koch, you see…”
If Aylin said she wants to go back, John would not hesitate to send her.
“Stomachache?”
Aylin seemed deep in thought, raising her eyebrows as she glanced at Abby with the corner of her eye.
“Aylin…” Abby looked at Aylin obediently, her big eyes blinking. Abby had just carefully poured out some of the poison and added a bit of water.
It wouldn’t kill Sariah at all.
Aylin understood Abby’s expression and couldn’t help but feel helpless. This little rascal.
After chatting with Abby, Aylin didn’t keep her. Instead, she told Abby to head back with Sariah first. To her surprise, Abby pulled off such a stunt in the blink of an eye.
It feels a bit bad, but it’s quite satisfying.
Never mind.
This girl is quite clever; it would be a good idea to keep her by my side for me to guide her and provide her education in the future.
“It seems like we still have an empty room at home, right, John? I appreciate. your help. Please tidy up a room with good sunlight for her to stay in, and make sure to add any necessary items.”
Abby received a satisfactory answer, and the smile on her face couldn’t be hidden. She sweetly said, “Thank you, Aylin.”
She also didn’t forget John. “Thank you, John.”
Upon seeing her lovely and pure appearance, John did not suspect anything about her. “Good child. From now on, you can live here with peace of mind.
Just listen to Ms. Koch.”
“Okay!”
Abby followed John, bouncing and hopping along the way. Before leaving, Abby turned back and playfully raised her innocent eyebrows at Aylin.
