Chapter 1402 It was not betrayal.
Like being possessed, he was in a panic at midnight. He rolled out of bed, and his racket even startled Dixon and Sonia who were watching a movie below.
Dixon hugged his wife, looked up from the TV in the living room to his son standing on the second floor. "What's wrong with you?"
Sonia said, "It seems he had a nightmare."
Victor looked at Dixon indifferently blankly and said, "Where is Elinor now?"
Dixon was immediately pissed off by him.
He said in a bad mood, "Find her yourself."
Victor's hands and feet were cold, "I dreamt that she ran away with her new boyfriend."
"Oh." Dixon still didn't change his face. "Anyway, I have accepted the fact that Elinor could not be your wife. It's not a surprise that she'll have a new boyfriend. But what's wrong with your tone, as if she betrayed you?"
Victor stiffened.
After long silence, he murmured with a pale face, "Did you think before that Elinor would become a member of our family?"
Yeah, of course, Dixon and Sonia liked Elinor so much, so they must hope she would marry into their family.
But this indisputable son screwed things up.
Why hasn't he ever noticed the hope of the surrounding people?
"I... I knew earlier that she had a new boyfriend."
"So what?" Dixon suspended the movie impatiently and put all his attention on Victor, "You felt being betrayed?"
Victor did not speak.
"Come on. Don't pretend." Dixon cast a glance at him in a sneer. "Admit it. You just thought she couldn't leave you. In these two years, you thought she must be loyal, miss you and never date another men, didn't you? You were the one who drove her away. Well, she left. What are you aggrieved for? Don't you feel ashamed?"
Victor retorted feebly, "But it is obviously she said she loved me..."
Why can she fall in love with someone else soon?
"Yes, she said she loved you, but you didn't love her. She can spontaneously remain loyal, but you are not qualified to order her to do so." Dixon's words were sharp, and his eyes can see through Victor. Victor even felt Dixon was looking at the previous self instead of him.
"If Elinor takes her fondness for you to pretend to be vulnerable, then it is she who morally kidnaps you. And if you take advantage of her love and think she should just wait for you, Victor, it's the same moral kidnapping." sŵnovel
These words were too direct.
Victor knew he had no qualifications to dictate to Elinor nowadays, but...
"But I still want to see her." His voice was getting lighter and lighter, "Why doesn't she scold me? Even if it's to
vent her anger, why doesn't she
throw out what I gave the Sue family for compensation..."
"Because she doesn't want to." Dixon said, "because she knows that you'll not be guilty anymore if she does so."
Victor gasped.
He laughed feebly and took two steps back, returned to the room, and fell straight on the edge of the bed.
He covered his face with hands. The first thing that flashed in his mind was Elinor's weak face when she called him 'Vic' innocently.noveldrama
He was so heartbroken, as if his heart was pinched heavily by someone.
Damn it...
He kept panting. The hands that covered his face slowly shivered.
"Happy birthday, Vic."
"I'm not trying to be nice to my mom. I know she's bad."
"I'm the flower girl!"
Heat singed his eyes, and something dropped from them.
He...
How did he lose that little girl?
What do you think?
