Vengeful Hearts Return Novel by Susan Clyde

Chapter 143

At this moment, the group chat was filled with laughter.

Andrew: [I heard someone was chased out by Audrey.]

Shawn: [Andrew, you’ve got some nerve. You even teased Dylan!]

Cade: [Hahaha, really? Did Dylan really get kicked out by my favorite person? She is so cool!]

Shawn: [Cade, if you keep calling Audrey your favorite person, wouldn’t you have to call Dylan darling someday?]

Cade was rendered speechless.

Imagining himself calling Dylan darling, he shivered violently.

Andrew: [Cade, go call him darling now. Come on.]

Cade: [Knock it off! You guys just want to mess with me!]

Shawn: [Where’s Dylan? Why is he so quiet? Did he take things too hard after being kicked out?]

Andrew: [I don’t think so, but he’s definitely upset. Hey, Dylan, why don’t you try kneeling to Audrey again?]

Cade: [Andrew, you’re playing with fire. Dylan will kill you for this!]

Andrew: [Oh, if he dares to bully me, I’ll complain to Audrey!]

Just as the three were chatting animatedly, a notification popped up in the group.

Andrew, Shawn, Cade were removed from the group chat,

Dylan looked at the now silent group chat, finally feeling somewhat satisfied. He tapped his phone screen and exited the chat interface.

“Richard, we don’t have to pay the 100 million we agreed to give JK Squad!” Dylan said calmly to the assistant, “Also, send the photos of Elizabeth dining with that young actor to Shawn.”

Upon hearing Dylan’s instructions, Richard could not help but mourn for Cade and Shawn.

‘They’ve really picked the wrong person to mess with. Unlike Mr. Roscente, who is like Boss’s future brother–in–law, Boss couldn’t afford to offend him. But Mr. Longman and Mr. Smith aren’t as lucky,’ Richard thought.

As expected, as soon as Richard relayed Dylan’s message, Cade’s call came through on Dylan’s phone. Dylan ignored the first two calls but answered the third.

As soon as he picked up, he heard Cade’s wailing, “Dylan, my great hero, I was wrong! Please don’t withdraw my funding. I didn’t badmouth you. It was Andrew and Shawn! Please don’t do this!”

Even when Richard was sitting in the driver’s seat, he could hear Cade’s dramatic crying from the other end of the phone. It was quite a scene.

“Hmm,” Dylan replied indifferently.

“Dylan, my hero, if you won’t consider our years of brotherhood, at least think about Brian!” Jin Yan cried.

“Oh, if Brian wants to play games, I can set up a team for him,” Dylan said casually.

The next second, Cade’s crying–grew even louder, “My sugar daddy, I’m sorry!”NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

“Don’t call me that. I’m not qualified, ” Dylan replied indifferently. Then, he hung up the phone and let Cade continue to cry.

As soon as the call ended, a message from Shawn came in.

Dylan glanced at the message indifferently and put his phone aside.

Shortly after, Shawn’s call came through. Dylan promptly blocked his number.

“Sir, Are we heading back to the Clifford Mansion?” Richard asked respectfully.

“Go to the base and interrogate those people first.” Dylan’s deep and cold eyes narrowed slightly when he thought of those assassins who had targeted Audrey.

After Dylan left, Audrey went straight to her bedroom to sleep.

By the time she woke up, it was already evening. She took a shower before heading downstairs.

Not knowing when Audrey would wake up. Wendy kept the dishes warm. When she saw Audrey coming down the stairs, she quickly served the oatmeal and the light dishes.

Almost everything was Audrey’s favorite.

“The oatmeal today tastes quite good.” Audrey hadn’t eaten much all day except for a meal in Dylan’s hospital room.

The soft, sweet oatmeal made her feel comfortable, and with a few appetizing side dishes, she ate with relish.

“I’m glad you like it. It was made according to Mr. Clifford’s instructions,” Wendy said happily when she saw that Audrey enjoyed the food.

Hearing that, Audrey’s eyes narrowed slightly, and she nodded expressionlessly.

After finishing her meal, she went to the study.

Not long after she sat down, her phone rang.

A man said, “Ms. Hernandez, it’s me. The person you had me keep an eye on has disappeared!”

The caller was someone Audrey had hired to secretly monitor Sarah in prison.

Auredy’s brow furrowed slightly, and her expression turned colder. She asked, “What happened?”

The man replied, “I’m not sure of the details. She was there when I was at work, but I had to take three days off due to family matters and had someone else keep an eye on them. When I came back to work today, I learned that she had disappeared last night. It seems she was attacked and severely injured by a few male inmates during the day and was rushed to the hospital. By evening, she had vanished, and the guard on duty was knocked out.”

After listening, Audrey pondered for a few minutes.

“Ms. Hernandez, are you still there?” the man asked.

Audrey snapped out of her thoughts and said, “Thanks for your hard work.”

After hanging up the phone, her face turned even colder

Then, she looked at the computer screen and started typing on the keyboard.

After sending Sarah to jail, she had put a tracker on Sarah.

Two minutes later, a red dot appeared on the screen. Audrey zoomed in and furrowed her brow.

She speculated that someone had informed Sarah about Rebecca’s death and helped her escape from the guards.

“Looks like they can’t wait to make a move!” Audrey’s lips curled into a dangerous smile as her eyes flashed coldly.

“Is it someone from the royal family of Britamland? I’ll find out who’s behind this!” she said to herself.

Just as Audrey turned off her computer, Dylan’s call came through.

“Where are you now?” The man sounded a little anxious.

“The Holland residence,” Audrey said with a slight frown.

“Stay at home and wait for me. I need to talk to you. I’ll be there soon, so don’t go anywhere!” Dylan said in a serious and urgent tone. Audrey responded nonchalantly.

Dylan seemed worried that something might happen to Audrey if she left the Holland residence.
