Whispers Of Betrayal (Anastasia and Alastor)

Chapter 10

Chapter 10

“Annie?” Kimberly noticed Anastasia staring at Jason in a daze and awkwardly tugged her arm. “As expected, women have no resistance to handsome guys, she thought.

Anastasia came back to her senses and covered her forehead, realizing that she had lost her composure.

In fact, Anastasia didn’t have much knowledge about handsome guys. Alastor was very handsome, and in Kimberly’s words. he was incredibly good–looking, akin to a precious treasure.

If Alastor was the bossy CEO, Jason would definitely be the unruly type of guy.

“That’s Jason!” Kimberly opened the door and pulled Anastasia into the living room.

Anastasia had never been so embarrassed in her life. “Yeah, I can see that…”

“This is fate!” Kimberly had already started to plan for her best friend. “Shame on Alastor. Just cheat on him!”

Anastasia raised her hand and knocked on Kimberly’s head. “If I do that, how am I any different from him?”

Kimberly snorted. “An eye for an eye.”

Anastasia didn’t speak and plopped down on the couch in Kimberly’s room. There will be a good show in just a few hours.”

“What show?” Kimberly brought Anastasia bread and milk before approaching her curiously,

Anastasia took out her tablet, put it on the table, and activated the surveillance cameras installed in advance at home.

Kimberly was stunned and gave Anastasia a thumbs–up. “Have you… made up your mind to divorce him?”

“Divorce? Why divorce? If I don’t divorce, then Felicia will always be the shameful mistress.” Anastasia leaned on the sofa

with a hoarse voice.

“I’m already dying. Nothing else matters anymore,” she mused.

Anastasia still remembered that when they had just gotten married, Alastor’s mother came to her to cause trouble. Alastor said to his mother, “Only widowhood will happen in my marriage, never divorce.”

Alastor had always maintained the image of a good husband in public, and divorce wasn’t a worthwhile option for him.

“Widowhood… Anastasia mused.

Anastasia rubbed her temples and put on a wry smile.

“What Alastor said came true,” she thought to herself.

*Annie, you look really pale. How about joining me for a beauty treatment later?” Kimberly felt concerned for Anastasia.

Anastasia nodded with a smile. “Okay…”

She not only planned to have a beauty treatment but also wanted to go shopping and indulge in some retail therapy.

She would use Alastor’s card.

After all those years of being married to him, she had been way too compliant, and enough was enough.

Kimberly took Anastasia to the mall and headed straight to the luxury store. “This is a new arrival. Looks nice, right? It’s around 26,000 dollars.”

Kimberly had a better understanding of luxury goods than Anastasia. Her greatest joy was purchasing designer handbags, which she humorously claimed could cure all sorts of problems.

Anastasia had little knowledge of luxury items. Throughout their four–year marriage, she never took the initiative to spend. Alastor’s money or request gifts from him.

Of course, Alástor had never gifted her luxury items, too.

He probably thought she didn’t deserve such expensive things.

Only Felicia deserved designer handbags worth tens of thousands of dollars. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

Anastasia looked at the price and shook her head. “It’s too cheap…”

“Why should I buy a cheaper bag than Felicia’s?” she thought to herself.

Kimberly was momentarily taken aback, sensing that Anastasia must have been triggered by something.

“Come with me.” Kimberly took out her card, and the retail assistant took them to the VIP lounge.

The retail assistant was very professional and presented Anastasia with a beautiful bag.

“I’ve set my sights on this bag for a long time, but my dad won’t buy it for me. It costs more than 120 thousand dollars.” Kimberly looked at Anastasia.

“Pay by card.” Anastasia didn’t even look at it.

After swiping the card, Alastor received a message on his phone immediately.

Sure enough, Alastor soon called.

“Darling. I found a bag that I really like, Anastasia spoke up.

On the other end of the line, Alastor merely hummed in response.

Anastasia was well aware that Alastor wasn’t concerned about money. His call was likely prompted by the fact that she had

before. never taken the initiative to spend his money

“There’s also a jewelry set that I’m fond of. It’s quite expensive,” Anastasia whispered softly.

“You can buy anything you like,” Alastor said calmly.

“Then I’ll buy it!” Anastasia pretended to be happy.

“Are you not angry anymore?” Alastor asked.

Anastasia smiled. Alastor was implying that as long as she remained obedient and tactful, she could spend whatever amount of money she desired, and meanwhile, she shouldn’t create trouble for him

just because he had other women.

“Alastor, we need to leave. We shouldn’t keep Ventus Group’s Mr. Zimmerman and his wife waiting for too long.” came Felicia’s voice from the other end of the phone. It was clear that she intentionally spoke next to Alastor’s ear for Anastasia to

hear.

Anastasia could almost see Felicia hugging Alastor’s waist at that instant.

“Alastor, do you know why I bought…” Anastasia still had something to say, but Alastor hung up right away. Dejected. Anastasia thought to herself, ‘He and Felicia don’t even bother hiding their relationship now.

It’s our fourth wedding anniversary today.

Looks like I’m the only one who remembers.
