Chapter 70: I'm Not A Toy
Damn that guy! How many times should I tell him that I don't want him around me? He kept on asking nonsense things, and it really irritates me.
I thought we would never see each other again, but now I think that will never happen. And we will be meeting every time. I never wished this to happen, and now I know that I will never have a peaceful day. Until I couldn't forget what he said that day. I want you back.
What am I? A toy that, if he remembered me, he could immediately get me? Well, damn, I'm not a fucking toy. I don't know what is wrong with Travis. After their wedding was canceled he was always messing with my life. "Jaz?" I turned around to see Paul. It's been days since I didn't saw him. He's wearing a tuxedo and it seems like he's going somewhere else.
"Paul, what are you doing here?" I asked him. I was walking in the park to clear my mind and relax when he suddenly appeared.
"I came here to spend the rest of my time when I saw you," he said, and I didn't believe him. Maybe he had a date. I looked around, but I didn't notice a girl waiting for him, though some were looking at him because of his clothes. Paul is handsome indeed. Yet I could really see that he's also a womanizer. But that doesn't affect me since I don't feel special about him.
He's actually kind. It's just that even if he didn't tell me, I noticed that he flirted with random girls. Well, boys are boys. That's not all. He's also having different calls, and I bet those are the girls he'd been flirting with.
"You really don't like me do you?" I asked him, which made him stop walking and look at me.
He chuckled, placed both hands in his pockets, and started walking again, which made me follow him.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
"I did like you the first I saw you," he said as if it were really normal for him to confess his feelings. He's the kind of man who will tell you directly on your face about what he feels about you. He's not like the other men who will take time to have the courage to confess their feelings to a girl they are courting.
"I know you're just kidding around," I told him, and he laughed while looking at me, like he was not expecting that I had already read his actions.
"Well I'm surprised yet I'm amazed, though I already expected that you would think of it that way sooner" he said and we stopped at the vendor selling ice cream. He bought one for me and for him. He also offered me a seat.
"I just couldn't think of why you did that. I know you are not the kind of man who will take a relationship seriously, "I told him, and he shook his head.
He looked at the kids playing while eating his ice cream.
"Just like what I told you earlier, the first time I saw you, I already liked you, but yeah, when I checked your background information, I slowly let go of those feelings," he said, and I didn't understand him. He laughed when he saw me knotting my forehead. "Okay, I really don't understand you," I frankly said to him.
"l
You are the kind of woman that
every man would be attracted to. But I bet you didn't know that. You're just simple yet everything about you looks elegant. Maybe that's the reason why my cousin fell in love with you," he said, talking about Travis.
Why does he need to talk about Travis? Is he not tired of fighting with him? And that was the past. There's no need to bring back those memories.
"It's inappropriate to talk to someone who is not here," I told him, but he just chuckled. I focused on my ice cream and continued eating.
"I actually didn't know that Travis was your Ex-husband," he uttered. Maybe we've never seen each other because he was living abroad at that time?
"Yes, and that was the past; there's nothing to talk about that," I said while I was watching the kids play together.
That's why I didn't continue my
plan to court you. Instead, I just tried to see my cousin's reaction when he saw me Courting his ex-wife he said, which surprised me.
He's really something else.
"He doesn't care about me anymore, And I have nothing to do with him. We're done," I told him, but he looked at me like he was not convinced of what I said.
I'm just telling the truth. His claim that he wanted me back was just to fool me again, which is not going to happen.
"I also found out that you guys are working together now," he said. I immediately look at him. How did he know? He's really freaking me out.
"Are you a stalker?" I asked him, but he just shook his head while laughing at me.
"No, but I knew something," he said, which made me curious and looked at him.
He knew what? Is he working as a detective or something aside from being a businessman? "What do you mean?" I asked him but he just glanced at me and didn't answer my question.
"Nothing. But I'm surprised that Stacy didn't fight for Travis. I
thought she was obsessed with him. Damn, that's freaking new. I can't
wait what will happen next" he said
like he's been watching them all the time.
"Tell me, is it your job to investigate everyone around you?" I asked him, which made him laugh.
He's not taking my question seriously. I checked the time, and I had to go home. That's why I stood up, and he did the same. "I'm not, but I'm just trying to irritate Travis," he answered, which is far from my question.
"What?" I asked him, but he just laughed.
"Nothing, I'll just visit you when I have time. Take care" he said as he waved his hands and walked away. What is wrong with him?
