Gideon was still stuck in the hospital. His legs weren't working, so he'd beennoveldrama

pretty much glued to the bed. And since Yvette flat-out refused to take care of him, he was left with just the nurses and orderlies to help out.

One afternoon, as he lay there staring at the ceiling, his phone kept buzzing nonstop. He tried to ignore it, but eventually curiosity got the better of him. He reached over, grabbed his phone, and glanced at the screen.

His family group chat had exploded, literally thousands of messages.

Weird. That chat was usually as dead as a doornail. Most days, you could hear crickets chirping in there. What the heck was happening now?

He noticed people had tagged him too. With a frown, he opened the chat and typed: [What's going on? Who's looking for me?]

Gideon read through the messages, his face turning more and more complicated. He scrolled up, and sure enough, half the family was ranting about Yvette and Silas, saying her behavior was totally off the rails.

And then he saw someone had posted a link to a live stream. He clicked in, only to be greeted by a video of Yvette, dressed like she was headed for a wild summer pool party, trash-talking him and blatantly flirting with someone off camera-someone who everyone assumed was Silas.

Gideon: [Can someone please explain what the heck is going on in this live stream? Who's filming?]

Calliope: [Oh, the live stream? You'd better ask your wife about that. As for who's filming, your uncle and I are streaming it to the whole family. Yvette's antics were too insane to keep to ourselves.]

Gideon: [Callie, seriously, if you're streaming with my uncle, then who's the guy with Yvette?]

Honestly, Gideon couldn't believe Silas would get mixed up in this mess.

Silas: [Definitely not me, man. I'm here with my wife, eating pizza and watching this circus unfold.]

Gideon: [So... who's actually filming?]
