Gideon was losing his mind. He had thought Yvette was just messing around, trying to stir the pot a bit. He never imagined she'd go this far, causing such a scene, and now everyone knew about it.

A moment later, Silas shot Gideon a text with an address. Seeing it was about time, he headed out with Calliope to the room in question. When they reached the door, Silas rang the doorbell.

Inside, Yvette tried to stop the stand-in, but the double just shrugged her off and went to answer the door. He swung it open in no time.

Yvette, clutching her chest, turned around and when she saw Calliope and the real Silas standing there, her mind just blanked.

"Silas? Calliope?" she stammered, her face twisted in disbelief. "Am I drunk?"

She was pretty sure she hadn't had that much wine. Was she hallucinating? "Surprised?" Silas asked, his expression unreadable.

"You... you're Silas... then who is he?" Yvette gawked at the two identical men, dressed exactly alike. It was freaky as hell, no set of twins looked this similar. She started to think she'd lost her grip on reality. How on earth were there two Silases?

"I'm Silas. As for him, he works for me," Silas said coolly, glancing at the double. "He's my stand-in."

Yvette felt her world collapse. "So you guys set me up?"

She'd thought she'd pulled it off, that she'd actually gotten the real Silas. Turns out, he wasn't Silas at all. She'd wasted all her effort for nothing! How could this be happening?noveldrama

"We didn't set you up. Wasn't this your plan from the start?" Calliope said with a sly smirk. "What, not the ending you expected? Here's something else you didn't see coming: everything you just did was livestreamed to the entire Baker family group chat."

"The whole Baker clan saw it," she added. "Gideon and his parents too."

Just a few words, and Yvette went pale as a ghost. She stared at Calliope, her voice trembling. "What did you just say?"

Silas stepped forward, his voice like ice. "Yvette, this is your last warning. If you ever try to mess with my wife again, I won't be so forgiving."

Silas fixed her with a glare. “I'm letting you off today, but you'd better keep your head down from now on."

Yvette sucked in a shaky breath.

Without another word, Calliope and Silas turned and left, the stand-in trailing behind.
