Chapter 1461
It did seem a little late, "Is Mr. Castle gone?"
Waverly squinted at him and nodded. Her face was so pale it was as if she had seen a ghost. Her instincts told her to move away from the man, but just as she was about to do so, he reached out and grabbed her slender waist.
"Are you still mad at me? I just-"
He just wasn't able to control himself.
If truth be told, he had completely broken his promise! He hadn't grasped the time well. He had exceeded the time just by a little bit!
When Waverly found out that the thing she had been concerned about for the past three hours weighed so little to him, she wanted to kill him with her high heels!
"Shut up!"
Waverly interrupted him furiously and couldn't help but blush. Her eyes swept around as she examined her surroundings.
Wyatt suddenly burst out laughing.
He pulled her in closer. Even his eyebrows seemed to be smiling.
"Sweetheart, everything's written on your face. You really can't hide anything, huh? I wonder who you got it from."
She seemed so diffident.
They were both unmarried, and they weren't doing anything illegal. Why was she so terrified?
He had never seen her so shy before. She did some dirty things, and it was bugging her like crazy. No wonder she was changing her sheets in the middle of the night!
The cuter she seemed, the more Wyatt felt like teasing her. He planted a kiss on her white, smooth cheeks.
'... You need to get rid of it!"
She had been putting up quite an act before. Now, she was all vulnerable in front of him!
Waverly turned her head in shock. It delighted Wyatt more. He ignored the surprise on her face as he took a step further and pressed his lips on her soft red lips.
"I'll help you out!"
Was he going to help her become shameless like himself?
Waverly glared at him. If she hadn't been raised in this well-mannered family, she probably would have spit into the man's mouth. She gritted her teeth and struggled to push a word out of her mouth.
"Wyatt-"
That word alone was enough to stun him. She roared so furiously that she seemed to have summoned the lightning and thunder. Even the noisy train stations seemed to have quietened due to her roar. Wyatt paused and felt her burning gaze on him. He suddenly felt like digging up a hole and hiding from her.
However, he suddenly felt pleased as he hugged her, "Alright, alright, it's my fault. Don't be mad, please?"
As Waverly busied herself feeling embarrassed, Wyatt brought her into his car.
People said that time crawls slower when you miss the ones you love. Wyatt had really experienced that. Coupled with the media's harassment from the past few days, even though the woman beside him was ticked off, he was unable to restrain himself any longer. He parked his car in a hotel's parking lot and swept the woman in the passenger seat into his arms. Then, no more acting, no more teasing, he planted a real kiss on that woman!
Waverly was still furious about what happened earlier, and now he was taking advantage of her! She felt like she was going to explode with anger. She threw her punches toward the man and screamed, "Wyatt Johnson! You animal! Animal! You're just here to take advantage of me, aren't you?"
Was he going to make her do those nasty things again?
She grabbed her bag and swung it at the man before jumping out of the car.
However, Waverly had barely taken two steps away from the car before someone grabbed her up from behind.
"Waverly—"
Waverly turned around and kept throwing punches at the man. Wyatt didn't explain nor deny anything, he only lowered his head and gave her another kiss. The more she fought, the harder he kissed. Eventually, Wyatt kissed all the rage out of her and left nothing but her lust and desire for the man.
Wyatt didn't even try to maintain his calmness. He was silent for a long time before he spoke.
"Waverly, I want you, and I'm not just saying. I mean it!"
He caressed her tiny face gently. Wyatt's big palm seemed humongous when compared to her little face.
"I don't care what you did in the past, but from now on...I won't allow it! Okay?"
Waverly frowned out of pain. She was still a little dazzled. What was he talking about?
Wyatt put her back into the car and locked it before saying, "Let's go eat. There's a party at Oriental Bay Hotel!"
Waverly's thoughts were still on his sentence from earlier. "So..." she pondered, "Does he have something important to do? So I can't be so wayward now, can I?" When Waverly finally regained her rationality, she was already inside an elevator. The moment the elevator door closed though, a young man with a phone stormed toward them, shouting and yelling a bunch of weird stuff. She was so puzzled.
They were the only ones in the elevator. Who was he yelling at?
Waverly contemplated the question for a long time, but eventually gave up when she sat down at the table. She grabbed the menu and didn't hesitate for even one second as she ordered the most expensive meals on the menu. She ordered a king crab, some Sevruga caviar, some eggplant, and of course, she wouldn't forget dessert.
"That's all! Wait, add a cappuccino to that list! Yes, and some fruits!"
Wyatt couldn't help but glance at her as she ordered, "Can you finish them?"
Waverly didn't even look at him as she replied, "Master Johnson, are these too expensive? Omit the eggplant, then!"
Wyatt's eyelids twitched. He was speechless. She really knew how to spoil his reputation!
The waiter's gaze rested on him. For the sake of his reputation, he nodded, "Take them."
Eggplants cost nothing to him! She really knew how to save money, huh? If they really had omitted the eggplant, he would probably make the headlines the next
day.
"Ground Beef Spaghetti, Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee!" Wyatt ordered, "Plus some bird's nest porridge!"
"Alright, sir, please give us a moment!"
The mouth-watering dishes were
soon served. Waverly dug in happily
Pol
and didn't even care about her image as she enjoyed her meal. She finished the king crab and left nothing but its shell. She ate four spoons of the Sevruga caviar, costing Wyatt thousands of Dollars. Till that point, Wyatt hadn't even moved his silverware yet. Even if he did, it was to put food on her plate. The largest dish was the cheapest eggplants. Surprisingly, Waverly didn't mind its grease as she ate them. She accidentally picked up some fat meat while grabbing the eggplants, and she obediently left them on Wyatt's plate.
Wyatt ate his spaghetti elegantly as he observed the woman next to him who was
eating like a child. He couldn't help but feel elated as he occasionally wiped her greasy lips with some tissue.
Perhaps that was what people
meant when they said beauty is the eye of the beholder. To Wyatt, she was carefree, lovely, yet elegant, but to others she was extravagant, rude, and mannerless! Waverly saw food as a way to destress herself, so of course, she wasn't aware of the little remarks people made of her. She never thought someone would use it against her advantage either-noveldrama
It was a sweet and happy meal for the couple. Eventually, they finished everything except for the eggplants and the fruits. When Wyatt went to the bathroom, Waverly drank the bird's nest porridge as she scrolled through her phone. None of them had noticed a certain man from a neighboring table. That particular man hadn't moved his gaze away from them from the beginning till the end. He even took some photos. The moment Wyatt got up from the table, Quill Lewis dashed out of the hotel as he got out his phone.
Soon, a sweet voice could be heard from the phone, "Hello, Quill, long time no see! What's up? I'm on my way to practice!"
Quill exploded with rage, "Raynee, you're on your way to practice every time I call
you!"
Was she avoiding him? Or was she doing so forthat man's sake?
"Quill, what's wrong? You seem to be in a bad mood!"
Everyone who knew Quill and Raynee knew that he admired her.
Despite that, she had chosen Wyatt Johnson instead of him. They had been quarreling about this for a long time now. Wyatt didn't like it when Raynee mentioned Quill, and Quill didn't fancy Wyatt as much either. It put Raynee in a difficult position, and it strained their relationships.
That was why she had been avoiding him for the past few years! However, Quill
still cared deeply for her. He hasn't moved on yet. He'd wait until she was married.
If she wasn't married, he would always have a chance!
Raynee was touched by his efforts!
However, something was still missing!
"Go to sleep, or go jogging or something! Do something de-stressing! Don't be too
hard on yourself..."
"Quill, they're waiting for me, I really have to-"
They had barely talked, and Raynee was ready to retreat. Quill couldn't hold it back anymore.
"You're still in the mood to dance, huh? Raynee Wagner! That d*mn Wyatt Johnson is with another woman, do you know that? I saw them, I saw them kiss in a parking lot, and now they're in a five-star hotel enjoying some d*mn expensive meal! Do you know how well Wyatt's treating her? Do you know how intimate they
were?"
Raynee's head buzzed and throbbed. Quill's words completely broke her, but rather than a cry, a burst of odd laughter came out instead. "Quill, stop saying things like that! I'm not interested! He's not like that, you know!" Raynee's smile was uglier than a frown as she clutched tightly onto her phone.
What do you think?
