Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1464

Even though the woman was quite far away from her, Waverly could feel the woman's helplessness as if she were the one in the woman's place. And those men, they sure looked human, but they weren't. They were monsters under those human skins. They pushed the woman around as if she was nothing, as if she was a toy with neither dignity nor feelings. Waverly saw herself in that poor woman. Her face paled as a thought struck her.

Did he bring her here for similarly horrendous reasons?

Wyatt felt her body stiffen. He followed her gaze and understood what was happening.

Waverly was about to walk away as Wyatt pulled her back to his side, "Waverly, I brought you here to relax, to de-stress, not to put you on as a bet! I won't-"

She had almost driven him crazy last time, so of course, he wouldn't do it again! Besides, he wasn't willing to do something like that to her! He wouldn't even use her as bait!

He was really bewitched last time. He didn't understand why he put in so much effort to win that stupid thing back! It was a matching set, but it didn't make them any happier. They even broke up!

It sure brought them luck, but it brought them bad luck instead of good luck!

Wyatt held her tight in his arms and whispered, "From now on, you'll only have to worry about eating and drinking till your heart's desires, okay?"

They even got the police involved last time. He really did scare the sh*t out of her, didn't he?

Waverly came back to some of her senses as her stiff body gradually relaxed. She looked at Wyatt, but her gaze slowly returned to that poor lady. Waverly really wanted to step forward and help her out. Waverly knew what she was going through.

Wyatt seemed to read her mind. Before she could do anything, he stopped her and blurted out, "She's not like you!"

"Huh?"

"Stop thinking all women are good! That man who's gambling, do you see him? That man in gray? Well, he's pretty famous in the gambling industry. He's a gambling addict, but that man's got the skills, and he's rich, too. Women approach him to get something from him. Some want to seduce him, some want to sleep with him, and some just want to get a little of what he's winning. Do you know how much someone like her can make in one night? If she's lucky, she might be going home with hundreds of thousands of dollars today! Do you know how hard it is for that woman to get to be his 'human stool'? Do you realize how many women are fighting to be his 'human stool'? That woman had been holding him up for a whole night. Don't you think it's tiring, having to bear the weight of a man like that? She's being pushed around, she's being humiliated, but look at that smile on her face. She's not even showing any signs of resistance. Do you think she's pitiful now? Do you think she needs, or more specifically, wants, your help?"

Waverly wasn't stupid. She knew what Wyatt meant.

That woman wanted to be there. She basically asked to be degraded like that, otherwise, why would she be smiling like that? Sure, her smile was uglier than a frown, but it was a smile, nonetheless!

There was something Waverly couldn't understand, though. Why would she do that to herself?

Was it really worth it, being trampled on like that?

She looked uncomfortable!

"There's always a little something wrong with pitiful people! Don't underestimate any women here. They wouldn't be here if they weren't shameless enough! Of course, perhaps you detest them for doing such disgusting things, but that's how they succeed, that's how they earn money, and you can't deny that! Shamelessness is actually essential for success. You know, you're really bad at hiding things, so you're pretty lucky you met someone like me!"

In other words, if Waverly's late husband hadn't passed away, she wouldn't have gotten some of his family fortunes. If Waverly hadn't met him, she wouldn't have had the chance to live such a luxurious life!noveldrama

To Wyatt, she was just an ordinary woman working an ordinary job. A dime in a dozen. The reason she was here with him that day was because of her exceptional beauty. It was her exceptional beauty that made her previous marriage happen. If she hadn't been so stunning, her late husband probably wouldn't have even laid eyes on her. Her late husband probably wouldn't have married someone from such a mundane family. Even though she was a widow now, her social status had, nevertheless, been upgraded. Of course, she wasn't there just because of her ravishing appearance. She put in the effort, too. She loved that man. She sacrificed! Wyatt still remembered the way she begged him. The way she humbled herself and begged him forthat scoundrel's sake!

Her sincerity was also one of the reasons she married into that wealthy family!

Wyatt knew everything about her

when they started out as business partners, but if truth be told, he had only contacted her because of herë

beauty. He doesn't really know her

enough about the Castle family! She was a woman working a job that paid so little, so he assumed that she was born into a normal family!

Wyatt had never expected any woman to benefit him, and that was why he never thought about marrying a woman with similar

family background. However, penet

get insecure, especially someone rich like him. He feared that the woman he held dear to his heart had

only stayed by his side for his

wealth!

He didn't mind if women approached him for his money, but he wouldn't like it if

that woman only cared about money!

That was why he had quite high standards when choosing a partner. He couldn't just choose the beautiful ones, he needed someone who would work hard on her own too.

Waverly finally came back to her senses as she rolled her eyes.

"So you also know you're shameless, huh? Why do people think rich women must be bad women? But, I don't care how poor I am, I'd really rather live on the streets and beg for food than-"

Doesn't that woman have any pride or dignity? Even if she were to become rich, so what? The way she earned her money was disgusting. Would she really be happy? She was being treated like a d*mn dog, would she be content?

"Everyone's built differently!"

That was why even though both women were captivating, and perhaps both women could marry into rich families, it was obvious that they would have different endings! Wyatt held Waverly tight in his arms.

"Come on!"

She was probably sore about her unpleasant experience from last time. Wyatt deliberately avoided the gambling men and the couple went to a different section

of the hall. He handed her a glass of juice.

"It's cold, so don't drink too much!"

"Yes, sir."

Even though only the central air conditioner was turned on, Waverly still dreaded

the cold. Her gaze returned to the man in suit and her eyelashes trembled. She shook the juice in her hand and took a small sip of the orange juice. "What's wrong with you tonight? Are you shy? Just say what you want to say!" Why does she keep staring at him like that?

Wyatt was puzzled.

"What? You're saying as if I usually act like...some really rich guy I know!" Waverly paused before answering. The words-"you're shameless" were written clearly on her face!

"I just think you men are really lucky, you know. You guys don't need to be in the cold on these kinds of occasions!"
