Living With My Lady Boss

The pack of hundreds of wolves smelled the blood in the air and seemed to grow feral. They surrounded Wilbur before charging at him, leaping into the air a few meters before they reached him, with their jaws wide open in an attempt to bite him.

Wilbur's gaze flashed, but he remained motionless. The next second, the wolves were frozen in mid-air as a fierce gust of wind swept past.

The wolves on the ground halted abruptly as well. A tornado formed around Wilbur then, sweeping up the wolves in its wake and gathering them into a huge ball.

Wilbur leaped into the air, summoning the thunder cleaver before hacking at the ball a dozen or so times.

As he retracted the thunder cleaver, the air rumbled loudly as the huge ball of wolves exploded. The wolves' bodies littered the fields, some of them with their heads chopped off and some with their bodies cut in half.noveldrama

The air was thick with the stench of blood, but not a single wolf was left alive. Wilbur looked up at Lawrence coldly and said, "It's your turn now."

Lawrence glanced at Wilbur. "You are quite powerful, but you won't be a match for me here."

Wilbur smirked. "Really now? Well, there's only one way to see if that's true, right?"

He charged toward Lawrence upon saying those words, swinging the thunder cleaver at Lawrence. However, the very next instant, Lawrence disappeared out of sight.

"What?"

Wilbur widened his eyes in shock, staring at where Lawrence had just been. Wilbur's dragon aura had spread a hundred meters around him. He would be able to sense Lawrence's presence even if he had turned himself invisible.

However, Wilbur could not sense Lawrence's presence in the slightest. He had not left a single trace either and seemed to have vanished into thin air.

"How could this be? That's impossible!"

Amidst Wilbur's confusion, Lawrence's voice rang out from behind him. "Even you're surprised, aren't you? You should know that Senior Fremont designed this formation, Wilbur. He's an elite from an upper dimension and the guardian of the dragon clan's secret. You are his chosen one, so it is no surprise that his formations can hold you down."

Wilbur turned around to see Lawrence standing a little over ten meters away from him. "Is this Senior Fremont's test for me?"

Lawrence replied, "That's right. Once you find the formation core, you'll be able to get out. Starting from now, though, I'll be appearing in front of you randomly to attack. You have two choices-admit defeat or die here."

Upon saying those words, Lawrence turned invisible once more. Wilbur took a deep breath, knowing that it would be practically impossible to break out of the restrictions of the formation that Senior Fremont had set to test him. Locating the formation core was his only way of escaping now.
