Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 2265

Wilbur flew toward the ground at once. Lawrence appeared with a black sword in hand as soon as Wilbur landed and stabbed it in Wilbur's direction. Wilbur scrambled to block the black sword with his left hand, swinging the thunder cleaver over at Lawrence.

Lawrence smiled, disappearing into thin air. Wilbur paused for a second, before putting his thunder cleaver away and beginning to make his way along the fields quickly while he searched for the formation core.

The dead wolves had all turned to a strange ash-like powder that floated into the air. It then formed the shape of wolves one by one, and the entire pack was reborn in a few seconds.

Wilbur merely gave the wolves one quick glance and continued to make his way forward. Just as he had taken two steps, he whipped around and held the thunder cleaver up. A clang rang through the air as Lawrence's black sword struck the thunder cleaver and he sneered at Wilbur coldly. "You got lucky this time."

He disappeared once more, and Wilbur continued to look for the formation core. The next second, however, the pack of wolves detected Wilbur's aura. They seemed to become feral at once and charged at Wilbur immediately.

As the pack leader let out a howl, the wolves split up and surrounded Wilbur from both sides. Yet Wilbur paid them no mind, continuing to search for the formation core.

After all, these wolves could not be killed, and Lawrence would just turn invisible right after attacking. If he could not leave the formation, he would be slowly worn down from fighting both parties over and over again, then killed.

The wolves noticed Wilbur's lack of response to them and charged at him as if they had lost their minds. Wilbur did not wish to waste his time on pointless battles, so he controlled his dragon aura to knock the wolves several meters back as he continued his search. Ten minutes ticked by, but Wilbur had yet to find the formation core. Instead, there were several holes in his clothes ripped out by Lawrence's black sword.

Wilbur was frustrated but knew that there was no point in battling Lawrence. Lawrence could just disappear whenever he wanted. That was an advantage that Wilbur stood no chance against.

Wilbur continued to search for the formation core, and Lawrence continued to attack him from different positions. After Wilbur had dodged up to a hundred attacks, Lawrence smirked at him. "You're not going to find the formation core that way, you foolish bastard."

"What did you say?" Wilbur lifted his head to look at Lawrence.

"I called you a foolish bastard."

Lawrence disappeared right before Wilbur's eyes once more. He appeared on Wilbur's left the next second, and Wilbur blocked the attack with his thunder cleaver before shoving Lawrence a dozen or so steps backward. "I dare you to say that again!"

Lawrence smirked at Wilbur. "Listen up, then! I just said you were a foolish bastard, and you're never going to find the formation core if you keep your foolishness up!"noveldrama

"F*ck you!"

Wilbur shoved Lawrence backward, swinging the thunder cleaver at him. Of course, Lawrence had disappeared before the attack even landed on him. The cleaver struck the wolf standing behind Lawrence instead, cutting it in half as it collapsed on the ground. Wilbur glanced at the wolf briefly, then turned to continue on forward.

Lawrence appeared behind Wilbur once more, and another clang rang through the air as their weapons clashed. Lawrence shouted, "When are you going to stop being so foolish, you moron?"
