Wilbur stood on the main formation, walking a dozen or so steps forward. All of a sudden, a domain appeared. Wilbur found himself hovering in mid-air. Above him was the blazing sun, and beneath was an endless ocean.

"The ocean?"

Wilbur was confused, muttering to himself, "Is this domain going to make me battle an ocean beast?"

Ocean beasts were incredibly powerful. Wilbur had seen one in Cametra before, and he was only able to defeat it because he used his identity as a dragon clan cultivator. He did not think he would have succeeded otherwise.

Just then, a gigantic vortex took shape in the middle of the ocean. A womanly figure formed of liquid emerged from the water's surface, hovering above it as she stared at Wilbur.

"We meet again, Wilbur Penn."

"The Dark Tree?"

Wilbur had not expected the guardian of the main formation to be Adam's mother, the Dark Tree. This woman still hated Wilbur's guts to this day for killing her soon.

"That's right, it's me. You didn't expect this, did you, Wilbur? You killed my son, Adam, and I'll never forgive you for that. You can be on your way if you're not looking for the ninth dragon cauldron fragment. However, if you insist on looking for it, I'll be more than happy to send you to your death."

Upon saying the words, a long black spear forged out of water appeared in the woman's hand, and she hurled it at Wilbur.

Wilbur hurried to avoid the attack. The woman muttered a spell, and many bows and arrows appeared in the water below him. They were all aimed at Wilbur and immediately started firing at Wilbur in the next moment.

There were too many arrows for Wilbur to evade, so he activated the Dragon's Safehaven at the very last second. The brightly-colored barrier covered Wilbur, and the arrows bounced harmlessly off the barrier before turning back into the water, falling back into the ocean.noveldrama

Wilbur heaved a sigh of relief, seeing that danger was out of the way for now. He looked up at the woman and said, "I had nothing to do with Adam's death. He deserved it. Why are you making this hard for me?"

The woman's eyes grew bloodshot, and she roared, "Fine! Why don't you kill me too, then? Kill me, and you'll be able to pass the test and leave with your dragon cauldron fragment."

Upon saying those words, the woman raised a hand, and a huge wave over ten meters tall formed to her left before it hurtled at Wilbur. The woman repeated her gesture, and another huge wave of the same size came hurtling toward Wilbur from the right.

Both waves crashed into each other in no time. Wilbur stood beneath the waves. The clashing of waves above him was so powerful that even the Dragon's Safehaven shook as if it was about to collapse.

This went on for half a minute before the waves finally subsided. Wilbur stood there with his thunder cleaver in hand as he stared at the woman coldly. "Since you're so adamant about it, I'll grant you the death you want so badly!"
