Wilbur swung his thunder cleaver outward, cutting through the purple-haired man's body. Just then, the blonde man had come up to Wilbur and swung his sword down against Wilbur.

Wilbur did not waste a second and intercepted the attack with his thunder cleaver. A powerful force exploded from the collision and sent both of them flying backward.

The blonde man stared at Wilbur in shock and exclaimed, "You're at the Emperor level!"

Wilbur sneered at him. "Took you long enough to realize."

"Well, you're going to die either way!"

The blonde man charged toward Wilbur, whose pupils had turned jet-black as he swung the thunder cleaver outward. The power of destruction pierced through the man's body, and he was reduced to dust before scattering into the air.

Wilbur put the thunder cleaver away, leaping into the air as a fireball appeared in his hand. The next second, he hurled the fireball toward the military outpost.

One, two, three, and more fireballs flew through the air.

The fireballs exploded upon landing in the military outpost, turning the whole area into a sea of flames.

"Arghhh!"

"Ahhhhhh!"

The Night Demon soldiers cried out in agony, perishing in the sea of flames one after another. A small portion of them saw that there was no fire at the entrance of the camp and quickly rushed over.

Yet just as they were about to reach the entrance, Wilbur came down from the sky and swung his thunder cleaver across the dozens of Night Demon soldiers, cutting them down immediately.

Wilbur drove the thunder cleaver into the ground, standing guard by the entrance of the outpost on his own as he watched the flames swallow the entire military outpost. It was only after making sure that all the soldiers were burned to death that he finally left.

What Moda was doing was beyond Wilbur's knowledge, so he reported everything to the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense at once. In response, he received orders to destroy Moda's lab and kill all the Night Demons.

At the same time, Wilbur was able to find out more about the conflict between Kosanto and Moda from the department. It turned out that back in the day, the fight over two coal mines had driven a huge wedge between the two countries. It ended up with Kosanto making a compromise, letting Moda take control of the two coal mines that actually belonged to Kosanto.

Nonetheless, Moda refused to back down after that, thinking that Kosanto was a pushover, and came up with a series of schemes. Surprisingly, even with all that scheming, none of them were the real cause of the current conflict. Instead, it was caused by a special incident that had happened in Moda two years ago.
