My Four Miraculous Treasures

After Hailey appraised the food, it was time for the judges to score her.

The judges raised their scorecards to show perfect tens!

There were ten judges and nine of them gave full scores. Jasper was the only one yet to present his verdict.

Hailey's dark eyes were looking straight at Jasper as she waited for his score.

Jasper happened to be looking at her as well, so their eyes met.

His eyes were deep while her eyes were clear and filled with childlike wonder.

Willow was happy for Hailey after seeing the judges give Hailey perfect scores. Yet, Jasper's final score was the one that mattered most.

Feeling excited and uneasy, Wilow glanced at Jasper only to see him and Hailey staring at each other.

Hailey was looking at Jasper softly with eyes that somewhat resembled him. As for Jasper, there was a hint of interrogation as well as a glint in his dark eyes as he looked at Hailey.

Willow internally shuddered as the scene frightened her.

Could Jasper have realized something?

Time trickled away, but Hailey and Jasper were still staring at each other as if they were old friends exchanging silent greetings.

Willow got increasingly anxious.

When the tension was getting too much for Willow, Hailey cracked a smile. With deep dimples on her cheeks and sunlight in her eyes, her smile was dazzling and pure as a blooming flower.

Her smile hit Jasper full-on.

Influenced by Hailey's smile, Jasper's gaze trembled slightly as something blossomed in his heart. It was as if a ray of light was shining into his dark and closed-up self.noveldrama

The sense of accomplishment and comfort was so much better than signing major projects worth billions.

Jasper retracted his gaze and wrote down Hailey's score on his scorecard. Then, he raised it on the table so that everyone could see.

"Ten marks! What a prodigy!"

The crowd gasped upon seeing the score on the card.

Willow's heart leaped as her emotions went from anxiety to excitement. She

almost cheered along with the crowd out of happiness.

As her voice threatened to spill out, she took a deep breath and swallowed it back down.

She had to calm down to keep a low profile so she wouldn't look too excited.

"Oh, Hailey, my baby. You're amazing!" Rachel stood up and shouted excitedly from the crowd with her hands cupped around her mouth like a makeshift megaphone.

Hailey's smile deepened into a large beautiful grin that reached her eyes. Like a chubby little dumpling, there was a heartwarming tenderness in her innocent eyes.

Even the host was thrilled. She went over to Hailey and announced with the microphone, "Congratulations Hailey Nason Stone for creating a

miracle here in our Food Appreciation Contest! This is the first time in the history of this competition to have a contestant with a full score! Congratulations to the champion, Ms. Hailey Nason Stone!"

The host squatted down to be on eye level with Hailey before

interviewing her. "Ms. Stone, will you tell us what you're feeling now that you've been crowned as the champion?"

Then, she directed the microphone at Hailey.

Hailey didn't seem frightened at all as her large round eyes wandered about. She

replied, "I'm very happy. I'd like to thank my mommy for nurturing me."

This was a proper response that Rachel had taught her earlier before she got on stage.

Hailey remembered every word correctly.

The host smiled and added, “Little Hailey seems to be very fond of her mother and appreciates her too since she's thanking her mother for nurturing her. Then Hailey, what about your daddy? Is there anything you'd like to thank your daddy for?"

The host was good at making a scene.

She only asked Hailey such a question for the sake of livening the atmosphere.

Hailey didn't particularly react to the question, but Willow, who was standing right behind Jasper, immediately tensed up after a brief moment of relief.

Her hands hanging at her sides subconsciously gripped her pants.

Rachel stopped her excited clapping upon hearing the host's question. She, too, got anxious.
