SEX WITH THE VIRGIN MAID

His Ulterior Motive

"We're here." Max announced the minute they arrived at a closed gate for security checks. Christina looked outside the window to see a residential building up ahead. It was painted and designed beautifully with bright colors that looked so appealing to stare at.

"What are we doing here? Where is this place?" Christina asked when Max drove past the men at security, inside the huge gates of the well paved road that had well trimmed flowers on both sides.

"Little Saints Orphanage." Christina read a sign out loud just in front of the building and turned to look at Max who had just parked his car in front of it.

"We're here cupcake. Let's go." He smiled at her and alighted from the car, leaving her to follow. Christina stepped out to see the children and their caregivers waiting at the entrance for them. They ran towards Max happily to give him a hug and welcome him.

"Welcome Sir." One of the caregivers greeted him politely. "The kids have all been expecting you. They thought you wouldn't make it."

"So sorry that I'm late. I got held up in something urgent but I made sure to get here as quickly as I could. Hope you all can forgive me." He apologized and they shook their heads negatively.

"Really? Not even if I got y'all gifts to make up for it?" He teased with a sad face and they burst out laughing. Christina couldn't help the smile that ghosted her lips at the sight in front of her. Even though it was a different building and a different place, she felt at peace. Like she belonged here. It felt like home.

"Who's the pretty lady, Max?" Christina heard one of them whisper to him. "Is she your girlfriend?"

Max glanced at Christina and back at him. "No she's not. She's more like my rival. An enemy that tries to invade my kingdom and steal my treasures but I won't let her succeed." He whispered back and they chuckled.

Christina arched a brow at him, annoyed. He possibly can't be serious. Why would he describe her in that manner? Is this what she gets for having a truce with him? She shouldn't have even bothered if that was the case.

"I need a hand over here cupcake." He requested and popped the trunk of the car to reveal the items he had bought along with them.

"Are you sure about that? I mean, I wouldn't want to steal your treasures you know." She mocked with a glare and proceeded to help him out. The rest of the day went smoothly, with Max having fun with the children while Christina watched their interaction every step of the way.

She joined to play most of the games with them too cause she couldn't resist when they had practically dragged her to do so. The kids were friendly. They reminded her of the kids back at the orphanage at home.

"You must be tired after all that running around. Here, have this." One of the caregivers approached her where she was seated and handed a bottle of water to Christina which she took it gratefully.

"Thank you."

"My name is Ava and I volunteer for the orphanage from time to time." The caregiver introduced herself warmly.

"Nice to meet you, Ava. I'm Christina." She answered with a smile, carefully dabbing the sweat off her forehead with a clean cloth.

"Lovely name." She complimented. "This is your first time coming here, right? Cause I've never seen you before."

"Yes it is." Christina answered casually, wondering why she was asking that question so suddenly.

"I thought as much because Max has never brought a girl to this place before. How long have you two been together? If you don't mind me asking?"

Christina's eyes widened at that sudden question. She almost choked on her water. "Been together as what? I don't understand."

"You're his girlfriend aren't you? Isn't that why you came here with him?"

"No, ewww no!" Christina denied flatly. "We're not even friends to begin with. I only came here to lend a hand and that's it. We're not together in that sort of way you're thinking."

"Oh I'm sorry. I thought that since he addressed you by a nickname earlier when you both arrived that you two were together. Please forgive me."

"It's okay Ava." Christina smiled at her. It was an honest mistake and she was pretty sure that she's not the only one assuming things at this point. The way everyone looked at her when they first arrived was enough proof that she wasn't the only one thinking it.

The rest of the day went by quickly and Max joined her later after saying goodbye to the kids with a promise to visit them again.noveldrama

"Did you have a good time, cupcake?" He asked and she took a deep breath, relishing the ambience of the place for the last time before they leave.

"I did. It was nice coming here. It reminded me of home." She answered, my hands folded across my chest. "Which reminds me, since when did you become a humanitarian? You didn't strike me as one." She asked, facing him.

"My mother is more of a humanitarian than I am. She donates here from time to time as well as other charitable organizations. We usually help with funding and donations in any way that we can." He explained to her. "I guess I got used to it as time went on without realizing it."

"So did you bring me here to score points with me? To show me that you're not as bad as I thought you were or made you out to be?" She questioned, earning a look from him.

"No." He answered. "That's just a bonus. I brought you here cause I thought that a change of scenery would be good for you. I don't usually go out of my way to please people. If it makes you feel better, you're the first woman I've brought to this place."

Christina was stunned to respond.

Ava was right. No wonder she thought that they were a couple. Maybe this was just one of his many ways to buy her favour so she won't think too much of it. He was probably doing all of this to keep her mouth shut so that she doesn't say anything to Bryce.

"Thank you for coming with me today, cupcake."

"For the last time, It's Christina." She sighed tiredly. "Do I have to engrave it in your brain so that you don't forget? You keep giving people the wrong ideas about us when you call me by that name. I don't want to keep on explaining to people that we're not a couple. It's tifing."

"Okay, cupcake." He repeated with a smirk and she arched a brow at him. He doesn't know why but he loves teasing her. Her angry pout makes it all the more rewarding.

"It'll take a while for me to get used to calling you by your name so until then, please bear with me, cupcake." He said with a smirk but Christina knew better. He was trying to mess with her like he usually does and he won't stop anytime soon.

"So you'll help me with my project right?" Christina asked as they walked towards his car. "I did what you asked so it's time to return the favor like you promised."

"Sure." He answered and dipped his hands into his pockets to reach for his cellphone which he stretched out to her. "Put your number in." He requested.

"Why do you need my number?"

"We're working on your project

together which means that we'll be

seeing more of each other for a

while and during this period, we'd be in constant communication with each other. Plus, if you also don't want what happened earlier today to repeat itself then it's best that you put your number in." He pressed on after his explanation.

Christina stared at the phone and back to him again. She couldn't help but think

that there was an ulterior motive to this. Did she really want to do this?

"On one condition."

"Name it."

"You'll only text or call me when it's necessary or has something to do with the

project. I don't want you blowing up my phone over nothing." She stated firmly. They weren't buddies and she didn't want to extend that hand of friendship yet.

A smile ghosted on his lips. "Sure thing cupcake. I'l

I make sure to follow your instructions to the very least trust me. Now, your number."
