SEX WITH THE VIRGIN MAID

The Devil's Advocate

"So, when are you moving to your new place?" Nathan asked after the first class for the day was over. It's been a month since she moved in to stay with Hera and she was settling in nicely.

She had also developed a friendship kind of bond with Nathan. He was a nice person and hasn't given her any reason to complain, at least for now. Just like her, he was also from a religious home so it was easy for them to bond and understand each other.

"A little over the weekend." She answered whilst shoving her books into her bag. "Hera still wants me to stay at her place but I can't deal with the distance to college everyday. I did promise to visit her regularly though. Luckily Bryce came through."

"She'll get used to it, eventually. She's married after all and she has her priorities now." Nathan handed a book over to her and she took it.

"That's what I'm hoping for."

"So about that man." Nathan started, earning a curious look from Christina. "I meant the one who picked you up last time. Is he still bothering you?"

"Oh Max." She muttered under her breath, wondering why he would bring it up all of sudden. "Nope. He's not."

Actually, Christina hasn't seen or run into him for quite some time now and honestly, she really hope that it remained that way cause she wasn't ready to be directly involved in anything that had to do with him. Be it talking or seeing each other.

She was glad that he was clear of her path even though she knew that it's only temporary.

"You didn't seem quite taken with him, is it okay if I ask why?"

Christina casted her eyes forward and began walking away leaving Nathan to follow. "I don't just like him as a person."

"But there must be a reason why you don't like him right?" Nathan pressed on. "I mean, he must've done something wrong or something you don't approve."

"He's done everything wrong." Christina muttered to herself in a small voice. "He's different in a not so good way and I don't like it. I try to tolerate it but it's different and I can't say anything because he's Bryce's best friend and my sister is so taken in with him."

"They have a good relationship and I don't want to ruin it so I can only dislike him and keep my distance from him."

"He looks like a bother and I don't think he'd want to keep his distance from you." Nathan said but Christina pretended not to hear.

"Why would you even say that?"

Nathan shrugged. "Well, I just think that he looks very persistent and that's it. He doesn't give off the vibes of someone who listens."

"Well, he has no choice on the matter." She said as a matter of fact. She has told him off and if he had any decency left as a human being, he'd keep away from her completely. He was trouble. He likes trouble and everything about him radiates and screams trouble. The kind that she's not interested in associating with.

Christina took a cab home. She arrived to find Mariam in the kitchen. The older lady had returned back from her travels a week ago.

"Hi ma'am." Christina greeted politely earning a smile from the lady.

"Welcome back Christina. Hope you had a good day at school?"

Christina smiled back at her. "I did. Is Hera inside?"

"Yes. She went to put Amelia to sleep." Mariam informed her and Christina took it a a cue to leave. She found Bryce and Hera coming down the stairs when she approached them. Hera was giggling so she concluded that Bryce must've said a joke or something.

"You're home early. Is everything okay?" Christina pointed out to Bryce who acknowledged her question with a curt nod.

"Yes. I have a business summit out of town for a few days and I wanted to spend the rest of the day with my wife before I leave tomorrow." He explained, his hands snaking Hera's waist to pull her closer to himself.

Christina's eyes flew open almost immediately. "You're leaving for work? For a few days?"

"Yes."

"But why? you're supposed to help me with my business assignment. You promised that you'll look into it and help me figure it out."

"I'm sorry kiddo but it was impromptu and I obviously can't reschedule it cause it's

a very important business summit."

"So who's going to help me now?" Christina pouted sadly. She was loosing her

mind. It was an more than a crisis at this point.

"I can ask Max to help you out. He'd understand better and guide you through it Bryce suggested and Christina almost went pale. Her day just keeps on getting worse. Why does it have to be him of all people? Just when she's happy that he was out of her hair, something keeps pushing him back into the picture.

"But why him?"

"He has an experience in that field as well kiddo and if there's anyone other than me who can help you out then it's him."

"Is there any particular reason why you don't sound too thrilled to have him help you?" Hera asked and she hesitated. Christina really wanted to say it but somehow she couldn't. Just like before, she was stuck at telling them why she doesn't want him to.

"No. It's nothing." Christina brushed her off. It's better than saying anything at this point.

"Then it's settled. He'll help you out and if you need anything while I'm away then you can just ask him. è Max is just another version of me so don't be afraid to seek help from him when you need it. At least, until you get the hang of things." Bryce stated casually.

"Does this mean you won't be available to help me move as well?"

Bryce shook his head negatively. "I'll have Max help you out since I'll be out of town but if you don't want that then we can always move when I'm back from the summit?"

"It's fine. If you insist that it's okay then he can help me move."

"Trust me, you won't have a reason to complain. Bryce assured her but Christina knew better. She knew that she'd always have a reason to complain as long as it involved him. He was the devil's advocate for bad things and as long as he's around her, bad thin

gs are always bound to happen and there's no way she'd be able to escape it.noveldrama
