Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 2273

Arsi shrugged and sighed. "Who would willingly do research on something like that? What we need now is a solution, not research."noveldrama

Despite Arsi being clearly frustrated by Wilbur's questions, he was still nice enough to send Wilbur to his hotel. After chatting with Arsi, Wilbur found out that there were around a hundred thousand people currently living in Diseya.

Wilbur was rather shocked by what he learned. That number proved that this village was very densely populated for a village its size. Arsi saw the look on Wilbur's face and chuckled. "That's alright. Lots of people were just as shocked when they first came to Diseya. We're used to it, though. Diseya hasn't been around for very long, and it's sure to attract more people as our economy grows. When that happens, Diseya will be upgraded to a township, then even a city."

"A miracle will be made out of this village, and everyone will marvel at how special of a place this is."

Wilbur raised an eyebrow. "I'd like to know just how Diseya managed to get to its current state. It's unbelievable."

Arsi smiled but said nothing. He left his phone number with Wilbur and took his leave. Wilbur found this rather strange. So far, Diseya was nothing like what he had expected it to be, nor did it look like what he had seen from the vision he had when inspecting the third dragon cauldron fragment.

However, Wilbur was certain that Diseya was the place he had seen in the vision. How did it get to the state it was in now, then?

Wilbur took out his phone and dialed Beverly's number.

"Hello, Deacon Penn. Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Beverly, can you help me look up the state of Diseya, a village on the border of Kosanto? A monster called the Night Demon recently showed up here, could you help me find out where it came from?"

"Alright, give me a moment."

A minute ticked by before Beverly's voice piped up from the phone once more, "I've found the information on Diseya, Deacon Penn. Diseya used to be a village on the border of Kosanto, located around twenty kilometers away from its neighboring country, Moda. A rare metal was discovered in Moda five years ago. It was controlled by Moda at first, and mining was controlled by the government. However, something happened in Moda two years ago that turned the state of the nation upside down and spooked all the people there. Following that, many people began to seek out the rare metal. They usually sneak into Kosanto from the borders, and Diseya was their first rest stop after escaping Moda. Eventually, lots of people ended up living in Diseya so they would be able to go to and from Moda as much as they wanted for the rare metal."

After a brief pause, Beverly continued, "After that, news got out, and lots of people started coming to Diseya to get a piece of land there for themselves. That's why the village developed so quickly and it's now comparable to a town despite still being labeled a village. As for the Night Demon, my data tells me that it's probably a mutant from a failed experiment in Moda. The Night Demon will turn anyone it bites into its own kind. That kind of turning can only happen at night, so the demon will look no different from a human being in the daytime. That's why it's highly encouraged to stay in bright areas to avoid being attacked by the Night Demon."
